Hello All,

I have my car on stands and the lug nuts have been removed from the front tires. The wheels are stuck to the rotors.

I have used a torch to heat the bolt areas - small benzine.

I have use my jack handle to whack and try to move the wheels. used a hammer and a piece of wood to try to get them loose.

Unfortunately i cannot take the car of the stands right now...and other ideas.

Put 1 lug nut loosely on each rim and whack the tire portion with the back of your heel; while laying on the ground. The lug nut is on so the tire doesn't fly off

 

If the car is well supported by the jackstands, usually a good hard kick against the tire will break them loose.

 

Put the lugs back on loose and lower the jack slowly using the weight of the car to jar the wheels loose. Once you get them off, clean the hubs and the inside of the wheel with something mildly abrasive, like a scotch brite pad or steel wool, then coat both surfaces with anti-seize so it doesn't happen again next time.

my girlfriends steel rims were seized to the hub on her mazda, I just put a long breaker bar and pried between the tire and the front of the control arm. It can be a pain in the *** lol

So I ended up using my jack handle 3-4 ft long with my breaker bar 3 ft long, and put it between the strut mount by the spindle and the tire. It took a few tries and had to put my body into it. Finally came loose. Make sure the other opposite tire is on the car so the tire doesn't bounce back. One thing to mote I have my fenders and front bumper assembly off the car. I think this would be more difficult if the car had the fenders and front on.

I wasn't going to take the car off the jack stands, just too much effort, although this would have been my preferred action if the car was on the ground.
