Weight of factory 88 Formula wheel

I have searched for this but really didn't find a definite answer. Anyone know the weight of the factory Formula wheel?

25lb. Sold a nice set for scrap aluminum is how I found out. I think the GTA style wheel was around 19lb.

Which is funny that the wheel weighs as much as a 15x3.5 Draglite with 165r15 tire...

Yes it is. Definitely an area to lose some weight. I emailed Billet Specialties about Street Lite wheels.

17x7 = 15.6 lbs
17x9.5 = 18.4 lbs

Re: Weight of factory 88 Formula wheel

I'm going to suggest that instead of the 7"/9.5" wheels, you go 9.5" on all 4 corners. Your handling and braking will improve significantly and also you will be able to rotate the tires.

Re: Weight of factory 88 Formula wheel

Thanks for the heads up Paul but the rears will have drag radials so no rotating anyway. :-)
