What spacers for 17x11 zr-1 wheel?
Hello. Wanting to put 17x11 zr1 replicas on my 87 Iroc. Ordered 1 50mm offset 7.97 backspace 17x11 replica wheel coming in a week. I did a search and I'm not sure if I need a 3 inch or 2.5 inch. I didn't put tubular lcas on yet or beat the wheelwells up yet. Will be putting 9.5s on the front with 7.56 backspace 56 mm offset. Any idead on spacer size for the front? Thanks for your help

That 17x11 is going to be such a tight fit that you need to take into account actual measurements on you're car and order a spacer that works for you. Ball parking it based on other people's choices probably isn't the right answer here.

I know. I just want to get an idea from other guys so I can order 1 rear spacer to get an idea instead of wasting money on 2 wrong ones.

Use a tape measure and you won't waste any money.

Be careful there are different backspacings out there.
For a 17x9.5 wheel you typically needa 2.25 inch spacer to clear the tie rod, but if you have a brake upgrade with a floating rotor (LS1, C4+, etc) those rotors are adding to your offset, essentially. They act as spacers. An LS1 rotor, for example, is .300" thick. So a 2" adapter is all that is needed and totals out to a 2.3" adapter stack.
For the rears, there are, again, different offsets. Gotta be careful. My 17x11's needed 1.25" spacers. Some need 2" spacers. Just depends. What I find really odd is according to the chart:
http://www.skulte.com/adapterfaq.html
My 17x11's have a 50mm offset, so according to the chart, they need a 2" Adapter. Either the casting in the wheel is wrong, or there is a typo in the chart, or people typically run them hanging out the side of the car like that.
The pic in my sig is with my 17x11's. Im not going to say they tuck like stock, they don't. But they're under the fender lip. I had to do a lot of hammering on the inner fender, but they stick out between 1/4 to 1/2" farther than my 17x9 set with 2" adapters. It is NOT a visually noticeable difference going from these to my 17x9's...
(I have 2 sets of ZR1's, a set of 17x9.5 and 17x11 and a set of 4 17x9's for autocrossing)

You got those under there pretty well. Looks good!
Did you remove the rear bumpstops?

Just took a bit of bfh work on the inner fender. I still get a little rubbing in certain extremely hard cornering scenarios, but it's not much. Every time I switch to my autocross wheels (The white ones) I check for rubbing so Im in there pretty often.
