15" wheel tire options

I have a 91 Z28 , I have factory 16" wheels on right now. I have a chance to get American Racing tourque thrusts for pretty much free but only thing is they are only 15 x 8. What is the biggest tire I can fit on there? Would it fill the wheel well? They are off an 87 monte carlo ss, would the offset be the same? Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure if 15” will fit the brakes. If they do then perfect. I’m looking at getting some 15”s for my car.
Try them out and let us know.

Your factory car probably had different offsets front to back, but as long as there are no high end brakes (1LE) the 15's should fit.
I bought MIckey Thompson street tires, price is good, ride / drive good...
There were several "stock" 15" tires sizes, but the later / wide one used was 235 60 15.
I put those up front and ran 245 60 15 in the rear, no rubbing...
Just a slight upkick in the rear...
check out Ron USMC's camaro, he ran 255 60 15's out back on a 15x8 rim, a bit more kick up, looks tight
I believe his didn't rub either...
