american racing iroc wheels
new guy here. i bought a set of american racing iroc replica wheels 16x8 cheap on craigslist to put on my 91 rs. (they also came with new tires 225/60x16 ) looks like they all 4 have a 4.5 back space. will these work ? ive been reading that from the factory the fronts had a differant offset than the rears

Re: american racing iroc wheels
Factory front wheels were 4.35" with 0mm offset, which is very likely what you have four of. - Rears were 5" / 16mm.
Yes, these will work for you, assuming they're the proper 5 lug/ 4.75" bolt circle. Fronts will fit exactly, rear will stick out .65" inches. MANY aftermarket wheels fit that way. Cheaper to produce just one wheel. ....plus,you can rotate easier! I'd look at factory 245/50/16 tires. (although I see yours are new) ....check the date on the tires. AR hasn't made that wheel in awhile. Tires can go bad, regardless of how many miles they have. 8 years is a rough ball park. Some say as little as 6, other as much as 10.

I've got 10 years on my BFGs and TONS of tread left. ....but I can feel 'em getting a little harder, and you can ever so slightly see the beginnings of dry rot. ....gotta make a final decision on wheels before I get new tires. Stay stock, or go with Hawk's new 17" repops!
