Wheel curiosity

So I’m debating on buying some wheels for my baby, specifically some 18x8.5 with 38 offset for the front and some 20x10 with 38 offset as well for the back . Now I’m just wondering if these bad boys will even fit ? I understand having to maybe roll fenders and also invest in some spacers but I just had to ask before I make the big purchase . I’m somewhat new to the car scene and ESPECIALLY new to the whole wheels thing , so I don’t know too much on what size spacers I’ll need as well .

Re: Wheel curiosity

Let's cover offset first. Stock is 0mm up front. You're looking at 38mm. That means if you're looking at the car head on, each wheel would bolt up and be 38mm too far IN. In fact that's so much I'm fairly sure they wouldn't even go on. In theory, you'd want a 38mm spacer/adapter to move each wheel back out where it belongs. Out back, stock is 16mm. Soooo if you've got 38mm, there's difference of 22mm. So you need to space the front out 38mm and rear out 22mm. Do your homework on safe spacers and adapters. They're all over the place but frankly they sketch me out little. ...and I think they look crappy if you have a big open wheel. Just my two sense.

....as for width, 8.5 is fine up front. From all my reading.....it seems like 50% of the guys running 10" wide wheels have no issues, 50% need to do some massaging. Keep in mind there are SO many variable as to how exactly each wheel/car/suspension will fit. Hard to give a solid answer on will fit.
