For anyone who has purchased Hawks Iroc Reproduction wheels...tire thoughts and pics
For anyone who has purchased the 17X9 Iroc reproduction wheels from Hawks.
Hawks is suggesting you run 275 40 17 tires all the way around. For those of you that have purchased the wheels, what tires and size did you ultimately purchase? What do you think of them and would you recommend them? Would you share pictures of them to help any of us planning on making the wheel purchase too? Thanks in advance for any help and experience you can share with us.

You can run a 255 width or 275 width. Most people will choose the 275 for street driving. 255 has more choices for those that want to up their game at autocross.
I use 255 nitto nt05 on the front, and 275 Mickey Thompson drag radials on the back. No big scientific reason why. I used to have a nitto drag radial on the back and those tires were a joke so I went to MT that comes in a 275 size.
Just choose something you like and give it a try.

I was hoping to learn from others that have already been down this road and maybe save myself from a costly mistake. Thanks for the reply.

You can go mild to wild. What are you going to do with the car? And how many miles per year will you drive? And how many of the weather seasons?

This car will just be a weekend cruiser/cruise night car. Will probably only get driven 500 miles a year in nice, sunny weather only. I would like a performance tire that looks original or close to it. I would buy reproduction Gatorbacks if they were available.
