Wheel Guys, help with options on an 88 IROC

Car is a Black 88 IROC on factory 4 Wheel Disc (Delco's). Currently on factory IROC rims.

Just having some issues sorting my options because it seems about infinite. Tires are old and need to be replaced next season for safety reasons. I am thinking Torque Thrust 2's chrome in 17 or 18" but I see a lot of them. My other considerations are the Weld S71's or a 17/18" IROC replica style.

I am not a fan of all black rims anymore, too common now. Just not my flavor and certainly don't want to go with any other color. I like the old school looks of a deep lip and for my style I am not interested in going over 18" diameter for my car. No knocking others, just not my flavor. So, to get the lip, some or all chrome, what options are available out there similar to what is mentioned above. Just want to make sure I am not overlooking anything. Let's say there is a $3K or below budget. Think modern old school muscle.

This is very subjective and you will get many opinions, but it’s your car and you should do what you like. If you do some searches, you will find many posts with photos.

I personally like the look of stock 16” IROC rims. It’s part of the IROC package and it just looks right. I also like the 17” IROC rims from Hawks (in the stock brushed finish) and that would allow for some better tire options.

Boze makes a lot of wheels with the deep lip you're after.

.
That is why I started this thread. I see a lot of different threads with wheels and image searches that show great looking set up. This issue is a lot of time there is no description of what wheels they are and have to filter out a lot that doesn't apply to what I am looking for. Was hoping to see some post of deep chrome or deep chrome and black rims.

^^^ RSpeed's Camaro on here.

I think you need to find some ROH Snypers. But don't get the ROH ZS because I'm local to you and that's what I have

As QwkTrip said, BOZE makes a bunch. they are expensive, but not as expensive as Forgelines or similar. I love mine. They were exactly what I was looking for.

Pretty Close to what I have fallen in love with.

After looking around I think these will give me the look I am going for.

the weld wheels are indeed nice. there are many people that have them on thirdgens already, so you should have no problem finding reference photos of that combination.

The problem with Weld is their color palette is Goth. They need to get some damn Technicolor vision goin' on.

yup! you did a nice job on that compilation!! nice.
there is also a dark green car that has those welds that will be probably in the running for car of the month next month (June) pro-touring category

Re: Wheel Guys, help with options on an 88 IROC

I think I will go 18's around and then figure out what width I can run without modifying anything. Car doesn't get many miles so tire rotation isn't a concern. I may go staggered. Something a 8" in the front and 9.5" in the rear? I have some reading to do on back spacing and clearance with those sizes.

Just have to see how everything shakes out after big Rona moves on. After studying pictures and options, definitely love the Welds, but dang they are expensive. 🤑
