YearOne Snowflakes: Direct Replacement

OK, so I KNOW that the standard size GTA wheel is 16 x 8 and the YearOne silver snowflake wheels are 17 x 9, but is the bolt pattern different? Could I pull the GTA wheels off and put these straight on the car, or will i have to make any changes (besides new tires)?

Bolt pattern is the same. But you would need to find out the backspacing of the snowflake wheels to see if you will need a spacer to fit correctly in the wheel well without rubbing.

Is anyone running them now? With the front GTA wheels being deeper than the rear, I’d be surprised if spacers up front and/or in back would be needed.

A few members on the board run them. The backspacing is 5.1. Direct bolt on no spacers needed. The hub is larger than stock so you may need a hub ring if there is any vibration. With a 275/40 17 tire the wheel will stick out 1/2" farther than the stock front 16x8, but still be under fender. Close to flush with the fender if you have a LS1 style brakes. The rears should be near flush with the fenders too.

I probably wouldn’t upgrade the brakes, so maybe they wouldn’t stick out that far. I’d just have to figure out what size hub ring I would need. Thanks!
