curious,
anyone running 255/50/16 on all 4 wheels.
I do have 4 GTA fronts on the car.
currently running the 245, but need replacing.
225/50r16 is narrower and shorter tire than the OE 16” 245/50 r16. The width is the first number in millimeters, the second is the aspect ratio or sidewall height as a percentage of the width of the tire. Look online at sizing charts to see the rolling diameter of the two tires. I believe there is a 225/55r16 that was an optional size for third gens. It won’t corner as well due to a taller sidewall and possibly lower rating.
That being said, there really isn't much to gain. Almost unnoticeable and a tick taller. I've seen a few and it just look....ehhhh....like something isn't quite right. At the end of the day it's minimal. I looked at doing it but....I dunno. No real point to it.
didn't ask about 225,
i have 245, thinking 255 if they will work on the front.
seen them used on the rears, but i am just wondering if anyone runs them,on all 4 corners, and maybe have a pic .
thanks.
I’m currently running on 255/50R16 all around. Although I’m due to change them , they have been on the car since 86. My front have rub marks from hitting the front fender on turns. I’m wondering would 245/50R16 fit well on my wheels ?
your car sits higher than mine.
my bird sits low, so i was concerned about the front scrubbing.
a 245/50/16 will work fine for you.
sorry for the late reply, had it turned off.
