Tire recommendations for 16” 85 T/ A WS6

I have an 85’ WS6 which have the 16” rims. I have 245/50/16 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. Only the front passenger tire needs replacing due to improper alignment. Cannot find these tires I think they are no longer made in this size from Firestone… thoughts on what to do here? Replace all 4 with something new? Replace front 2 with something different? Any help appreciated.

I am looking for tires that size also. Only 3-4 tires available. I would buy 2.

Even with poor alignment it can take a lot of time and mileage to cause so much odd wear that a tire NEEDS to be replaced. So if the tires are already that old, or that used, then it's probably time to replace all four anyway--and get the front end aligned.

If they weren't staggered, I'd say just rotate it to the rear. But since that would involve dismounting the tire, then you might as well replace it. And if doing that, then replacing two would be better, IMO. But it's your money, not mine, so do whatever you can afford. If you do two, then you could put the new tires on the same side, and each side of the car would look "normal."

I reckon you've got 2-3 minutes of smoke left in the rear tires, then you should replace all 4.

General G Max RS or BFG GForce Sport Comp 2 would be the most similar tires still available from tirerack / discount tire.

The tires are close to 10 years old, but only like 8-9k on them.
