well stock is 245 50 16 , i know for a fact you can buy 255 50 16.
yup i found out the stock size and i know about going to the next step but i was just wondering if i could go any wider with the front and the rear than that without changing the height of the tire i want a real agressive mean look

Well, since 255 is the widest size you can buy for a 16" wheel, and also the widest that will properly fit a 8" wide wheel, that about sums it up.
The only wider sizes available are in specialty race compound tires....other than bfg rad t/a's, which won't hook as well as decent 255's.
- search, then post(if needed after search), this info has been posted many times, which is why you're not getting many responses.

For your resto project, I strongly recommend P245/50R16s.
On some cars, the 255 tire will rub at the front positions.
