After years of vacillating back and forth, I finally decided to compromise. I fully agree with the four-square philosophy for handling. And of course, budget is always a limiting factor. Good rubber is paramount. I just could not decide.
I settled on 245/45/17 on the front and 265/40/17 on the rear. So, I have a minimal 20mm stagger. I narrowed two 17 X 9.5 to 17 X 8.5 for the fronts to clear my tie rods (have drop spindles I don’t want to part with). I knew that the PS4’s came in these sizes before I began.
Weldcraft Wheels in Michigan did the deed, and they did a fine job.
Car looks great. That's a small stagger and you won't notice. I've run staggered for years and the car always feels amazing. You'll like the tires. They aren't the stickiest but work great all around. I have them on my daily.
PS4S are great tires. I also have them on my daily. Not as extreme as some other options, but you won't die if you get caught in the rain. There's a reason many teams running the One Lap of America run that tire.
