I had gold wheels on my last 89 Iroc. ...and I was eagerly waiting the arrival of Hawk's "gold" replica 17"s to replace my factory 16". Before that, I was working with another vendor to bring a factory gold painted "non" original gold wheel to market, but that never happened. Long thread about THAT one somewhere here on TGO. Anyhow.... Here's what I've found. There IS NO official gold code, number, formula or magic potion that'll lead you to the right color. I could type up a book on the subject, but here's what I'll say. You CAN find color codes out there, but for every post that leads you to the "right" color, you'll find three people who will tell you THAT formula didn't match their gold wheels. There are so many different gold wheels out there you can SEE the difference in pictures. What I would do if I were in your shoes? -just bring a wheel to the autobody shop and just visually match it as close as possible. ....for what it's worth, years and years ago, I mixed up some testors model paint and MADE some touch up. Took an evening and several tries, but really wasn't too hard. Match was all but perfect. Bought gold, copper, white, black and thinner. Used to build a lot of models so custom mixing was a regular thing. Anyhow, best of luck!
