Weld/ET Street R Fitment

I know there is a lot of historical data on here for this topic, but I haven't been able to find much info on tires wider than 10.5".

I currently have 15x8 Draglites on my 84' T/A, and I am wanting to step up to a 15x10 Draglite or Prostar. I am having trouble with backspacing. I want to run the M/T ET Street R 325/50R15 radials. The tires themselves are 28.3" tall, with a section width of 13" and tread width of 11.3". Does anyone have any insight on whether a 6.5" backspace Weld wheel would fit with this tire without major surgery, or should I stick with 5.5"? I am okay with some cutting/trimming/fab, also totally fine with swapping the LCA's to tubular since I have big SSM lift bars anyways, but would like to avoid essentially mini-tubbing the car or chopping the entire inner fender apart if possible. Pics attached for fun of how it sits now, on a 275/60R15 Nitto drag radial.

Stock width rear? 6.5 likely needs mini tub or major trimming and hammering. 5.5 is likely your better bet. I just put 325/50/15 on mine but im a few inches narrower rear with a 4.5” bs and now minitubbed. However it might have cleared with stock trimmed/hammered well

i cant remember but i think im 1” narrower than stock. I had a 4th gen rear that is 2” wider per side with 10” wheel on a 7.25” bs.i ran 295/55/15 then. So thirdgen should be closer to 5.5 to fit the same

I thiiinnnkkkk so. Car was half built when I bought it but I am 99% sure it is a stock width rear end. I should probably take some measurements when I get home.
