Torq Thrust II backspacing

I just bought a set of torq thrust II's, i wasn't sure what the backspacing was. The wheels are 17x8's. I ended up getting 4.75 backspacing b/c they don' offer them in 4.5. So are these going to work on my car which is a 91 Z28. And tire size....i was figuring 245x45 b/c 275x40's will not fit on a 8 inch rim. So any help anyone can give will be much appreciated.

yes they will fit as far as not hitting the struts. car craft used a 17x9.5 with 5.5" backspacing. the only thing they had to do was grind a little off the tie rods to clear the rims. the only problem i forsee would be them hitting the caliper at the mounting flange. may need to grind some off there.

not sure what wheel they used. i just remember the size and backspacing. just found the article. they used centerline aztec wheels. and this was chevy hi performance june 2000. now the january 2001 issue shows a camaro with the torque thrust wheels.
