Body Stripe Idea

So i got this idea for a body stripe, well, actually someone had the idea along time ago... I photoshopped it up on a thirdgen, let me know what you think.

Obviousally you'd have to get rid of the Yenko/SC lettering in the back, maybe replace it with something else, or just go solid white.

I like it from the door backwards, but I think it needs something from the doors forward to flow more with the car..

Anyways, I like the style, original musclecar styling is coming back on alot of cars, and it's all good

I also agree that it need more in the front.

I was messing around in paint early and came up with this hockey stripe.

thats pretty cool too.

yea, i was trying to find an old muscle car stripe to do a throwback too. I'll post some of my earlier ones, lets just say that the mustache stripe from the 1st gens and then the bee stripe (i think thats what they called it) that went around the tails of the chargers just doesnt look that great on thirdgens. I lucked out when i stumbled accross a yenko i think.

Any ideas on what to do to make the front part look better? i reallly dont think the stripe should be curved at all, so basicall, longer, shorter higher lower? i can try just about anything.

heres one i did on my car, for some reason it looks fatter on the front portion, I think its because the car i took it off mustave been at a different angle. maybe i can scale it down a little, well ive got pleanty of time to get it right.

(i started linking them so dont worry about the post getting too big)

I think if it's going to be striaght then it should be in the middle. Otherwise it looks out of place.

i'm gonna do it on my red iroc i think with silver paint and chrome flake in the silver....i think it'll look awesome...then put iroc z in the stripe instead of yenko...then i won't have to put iroc z on the bottom of the door...i'm gonna do it just like the red car as it..i like where it ends...i think it would look stupid if the stripe kept going forward...

Maybe you should stub up the front. It looks out of place when the nose of the car starts dropping and the stripe continues going straight.

thats pretty cool, but i think it would look even better if the end was tapered a little more, like came to a gradual sharp point at the end, just my 2 cents

i think its metallic blue? not totally sure, i'm almost positive that the car was repainted before i got it, but the guy who repainted it did a damn good job if he did b/c i cant tell for sure. Eiterway, it looks pretty good.

Yea, whoever stopped the stripe by the antenna nailed the look, i think thats how i'll do it. And the IROC letteering in teh back is a great idea too. I think i'll get RS.

I sent an email to a buddy of mine today, he does all the decails that go on like cop cars and stuff so he should be able to make a set up for me, just waiting on a price quote. If its under $300, i think i'll definitly do it this summer. Any one have an idea how much something like that would cost?

thanks for all the positive feedback on this idea.
