No, all I had to do was clearance the lower control arms (stock - for now ) and do a little beating on the sheetmetal inner fenderwell. They actually fit much better than I thought they would. The only beating you would have to do to the inner wheelwell is toward the front, directly above the LCA. This is pretty thin sheet metal and bends easily. Even with the terrible stock springs on the RS, it corners unbelievably well due to amount of tire on the ground. These pics actually don't do the car justice, it really looks better than they show. I'm going to make some better pictures in a few days, with better weather conditions, it was about rain (ok- pour) when I took these.

how about some more info on the rims.
What the backspacing on them 17x12's to fit a 335..?

Im getting some 17x11 TTII's with a 6inch backspacing to fit some 315's and 17x9.5 with 275 up front. But if I can fit a 17x12 which I didnt know you could, I may just do that.

Looks good by the way.

Thanks.

I don't know about you guys but I like to keep certain things the way they are suppost to be. One, I think that the 3rd gen. camaros already look good, and I for one like the factory rims. They look clean and fit the car perfect. Two, not only do 'HUGE' rims looks out of place, it makes this type of cars look like tanks but I can't realy 2nd the idea that it helps the driving. Cars come from factory with a level of tolerance when it comes to suspension and once you push that level it can't help but to damage your suspension. I might be wrong but some things are just not meant to be.
Get a Hammer.

The level of tolerance is set up for a stock engine. I'm sure that once you realize that larger tires (more grip) will improve your handling and 1/4 mile times, you'll change your mind. Plus, the stock suspension parts are junk compared to the aftermarket stuff you can buy, that stuff isnt gonna get damaged by throwing more power at it!

TPI383, the rear wheels have a 6.5" B/S, but like I said before they are TIGHT, I don't think any bigger tire/wheels would fit w/o some serious work, such as actually moving some stuff. And thanks for the compliment, and I enjoyed your site as well.

Vision, I don't dislike fcatory wheels either, but in my opinion, both of my cars look better than they ever could with any factory 3rd Gen wheels. But, again, that's just my opinion. As far as performance goes, I can prove that they both perform better. The Z28 is faster in the 1/4 because the Convos are lighter, which means less unsprung weight on rear axle and a better launch due to taking weight off the front and because the front rims are so narrow there is less rolling resistance = more MPH. The RS handles better because more rubber on the ground and a 17" tires has a much stiffer sidewall due to its lower profile. As far as looking like "tanks", I don't know exactly what you mean, but in my opinion, the bigger rims make the car itself look smaller. I mean, I'm taking offense to what you're saying, because everybody has there own opinion, that what makes things intesting and that's why all our cars don't look the same, which is another reason I like the SEC wheels, I have never seen another set before, so my car looks different, which is what I was after.

Dallasiroc, you have mail.

Basett,

Do you get any rubbing with the rear with bumps etc.?

Ive got pleanty of suspention mods already so there is no problem there.

Im leaning twards 17x11 TTII's with 315's out back just for the fact no hammering will be needed.

Thanks
Chris

What kind of backspacing did you use to run the huge rear 17's?
