I added these Trans Am vents in the lower fenders....I have never seen anyone with them and I thought you guys would like to see how they looked....if anyone has any question or comments....post'em! Thanks

I can get some....but just to warn you guys.....it's pretty ugly now!....it was one the baddest and cleanest Z28's around here....now.....it looks horrible. I was hit in the rear.....buckled the frame....and even buckled the top. Bent my steering wheel, my drivers seat...and I'm left with a permanent back injury..( 2 disks are slid)....so...hopefully....the insurance company will be paying up for this whole mess...I'm talkin major bucks $$$$

Well....I went to the junkyard....and popped them out of a Trans Am......I cut my fender out using a die grinder. I popped riveted both of the vents into both of my fenders. Then I used 5 types of body fillers.....to make sure they wouldn't crack or fall out. I used Fiberglass, Bondo, Bondo Hair, Duraglass, and then a final glaze of Glazing Iceing. sanded it all down, primered, and painted. If you can see in the pictures....I kind of extended them a little bit......I cut lines in the bondo with sandpaper....kind of gave them a "slicker" look. They came out relaly nice....and never cracked......buy after the wreck....the kind of have hair lines crack's in them now.....I was just setting at a stoplight and got slammed by a big Caddy driven by and 83 year old......

So they are just inserts on the TAs? Also...wouldnt it have been easier to just switch out the entire fender? Arent the firebird and camaro fenders the same fit wise.

ok nevermind about the entire fenders...seems they are different throughout the years. Im assuming the vents are plastic and not metal.

Yeah...they are plastic inserts that were used in the TA's......Camaro and Firebird fenders are COMPLETLEY different....or I would have done that.

Howabout a buyer for that hood? As long as it is in good condition still. Im sorry to hear bout that wreck man, that car looks bad ***. Thats why I think when you hit 65-70 years old you should have to take a driving test every year to make sure your still qualified to drive. Any pics b4 the wreck?

Thanks for your thoughts man.....I would sell the hood....but....it has about a 1 1/2 chunk busted out of it (hit a blazer in front of me) Other then that chunk...the hood is very fixable......I'm just done messing around with this car. I payed $500.00 for that hood.....if I sold it....I wouldn't be able to ship it....it's like over $100.00 to ship a hood since it would be freight......I would also have to get some other hood to put on it to protect the engine....let me see if I can get a couple pics of it before it was hit for you guys.

That looks bad ***, the gold and white looks coo. If you ever decide to start parting that car out give me a holla, I could use a drop, a new front end, wouldnt mind having some 91-92 GFX....But I think you should get it back into runnin condition, it would be a shame to part out such a beauty.

I agree 100% but........the frame it bent.......it's totaled....it would end up being like 8 grand to get it fixed....so.....I went and bought my new car... Black 1991 Z28 5.7 L98. My brother already is using my 91-92 ground effects....and hopefully, I can use the springs in my 91....but...I'll let you guys know..

Dude, that car is just as bad *** as ur wrecked one...you seem very well off...did ur new car come with the SS hood or you order it? I'm hoping to get an SS hood soon . Everytime I start saving money for it, something breaks and I have to pay for it. Or in the recent case, I get $210 in tickets! Oh well, the joy of owning a car I guess.
