What are you electric speedo guys using when changing gears?

I'de like to know what everyone with a 90-92 tbi car is using to recalibrate their speedometer when swapping gears? Did you change the speedo gears or go with a buffer? Which would be better and why?

I am not sure if you are a manual of auto but for manual you have to change speedo gears inside the tranny which requires you to drop it. here are my speedo gears for my 1990 T5. going from 3.08 to 3.42. I believe you change the auto ones from the outside.

Is that a factory chip? I always thought you had to use the gears to get the spedo right? I plan on doing a posi swap this spring but I heard I didnt need to get those trans gears and that the computer will reset for the new gears, is that correct? I got a 92 tbi with the auto trans.

I have an auto. TBI is speed density too and I don't think there is any way you can change it in the chip regardless of tbi or tpi. Anyways, so you guys recommend I change it with speedo gears over the dakota digital box or what?
