For around $100 you can get an entire new console with built in cupholders.

It would probobly look alot less ghetto.

bad idea, it will look really bad, u will see not only carpetless floor in the hole but wires too, find another place to mount a cup holder, they sell ones in pep boys that have screws to mount them, im mounting one on the passanger side of my console...BTW whats up with your front suspention? (bad spelling)

yep. in which case.. your last post was quite right. ... so he'd be better off doing something along the lines of what bubba did.

only thing i have agianst that is that all cups arent that size, your medium mc donalds cup may be but your big gulp isnt, the ones u get at pep boys are adjustable to fit a very small cup to a cup with like a 6inch diameter...id say go with that and mount it of the passager side..so if u spill it, it wll go on the passanger not on u and though u still have to drill holes in the console these are small holes and are covered if u have a carpeted console, unlike that HUGE hole in the top will be there till u get a new console...

There is a tech article for putting some cup holders where your ashtray is. Can be done very cheap. Check it out.

as long as you're not drinking too many big gulps or the wawa magnum 44oz, you can get cupholders with flexible tops that will go on the doors/window sills. i've been using them for years, and never had one fall off. i think pep boys, walmart, and a couple other places sell them for about $3 each. then there's no console drilling or getting in the way of anything.

if you want an expensive but rather poor cupholder/mapholder to get in the way of your leg, get the ones from the '91-92 firebird doors. the dealers sell them for about $35 i believe.

You could get the cup holders that go on the lower part of the door by your leg. Thats what I'll do once I start driving my 82. If your car is a stick, any cup will get in the way of shifting, even in an auto it will interfer. When my dads drving the 2002 with me, he makes me hold his coffee so it doesn't get in the way.

A used cup holder is 20 buck. If you can afford to pay gas, you can afford this. You can get them here
