look past the green, cheap seats... etc. it's the fact of something different. looking for points of interest of what is likeable and not so much.

i like the screen and the lid as well as the location for the air ride. the led's for the x amount of rocker switches above look to me like the builder/installer was trying to fill space rather then being unique. i think it was a decent attempt but at $6,000 something better should have came about.

anyhow just looking for views/opinions.

you don't have to like it, i personally don't like the full concept. i like a few of the ideas though and i'm looking to see what others think since this sort of thing is relatively new there aren't many, if any examples of anything like it on here.

so if you don't like it then what is it you don't like?

to the rest of you, if you are the person who only likes the stock interior don't bother replying...

there is actually alot of detail to this car. a great example of how a few poor choices can make or break the car.

Well the console is a cool idea but it is a little to curvey for the car it didnt need to be as square as the original but not that curvey either.

It's not too bad for my taste. I agree that the console might be a little to round, but it looks to be made with awfully great craftmanship. Any more pictures of the roll bar Kandied?

I think it kicks ***. I haven't seen a thirdgen with a custom dash yet.

And I'm not talking about cars built for drag with bare bones sheetmetal dash setups.

the ProE looks great like that.

I dont like how the monitor area is. Personaly Id like it more flush and diff contours. Easy for me to invision and make. hard to explain. I'll dig up a pic's later when I have time.

Almost like the centerconsole area of a vette.

I like where the console blends into the dash, but I think the back end including the console lid are too curvy. I also think the buttons/lights in front of the shifter are overdone. Especially with a ram air hood on there, the console should have more of a sharp line design to it. On another note, is that a t-top car with painted tops? I think i can see a faint line above the a-pillar.

I don't think it fits a thirdgen's lines personally. Especially how boxy a camaro is. It's too swoopy and alien looking. Would probably look great in a 4th gen.

I like the center console. Deffinitely alot of custom work there. I think they made a nice implementation of it. However what I think is the wrong choice is that shifter. It looks terrible with that console. Something a little cleaner deffinitely would have looked better.

I dont know what has been done with the engine, but $6000 is a cheap build, Enough said bout that.

As for the dash/console, I believe that if he would have styled the dash after a C5 vette, the console would have looked more in place. If he would have left out the B&M and installed a billet pistol-grip style shifter, I would have looked a lot better.

I think it looks good, but agree with others that it needs to be more angular for a thirdgen. Also the buttons/switches look too much like an afterthought. If they took the "inset" design from the armrest part of the console and had it flow down to each side of the shifter - they wouldn't have had as much space to fill.

Definitely an interesting design.

I feel kind of "iffy" about it. It's totally custom...and I'm really not used to seeing something that custom in a third gen. It could grown on me

Wheres the little puking smilie when you need him,

I dont like at all. It MIGHT look ok in something else but it surely doesnt fit the lines of the interior or the car for that matter.

actually it fits the interior lines perfectly, just not the body lines of the car. i agree it needs some work but it's different at least. keep this discussion clean, any off topic discussion or blatent bashing i will remove the pictures.

Im wondering if leg room on the passenger side is compromised with the dash coming straight down like that. If the passenger side was more like a factory mimic it would look nicer. I think it would look sweet in black leather and black leather seats. Its too much of the same color inside and outside the car. I think hints of the exterior color would be better instead of the whole dash and console. I like the idea, but cross it with a C5 or C6 look.....

Car: too many ...
I like the idea, smoothed console with flush mounted stuff, and a more modern looking dash. I'm gonna disagree with everyone as far as the idea of a smoother console/dash with curves not matching the lines of the car. 3rd gen Camaros are somewhat boxy compared to todays newer styled cars, but they still have some nice curves. The stock Camaro console/dash almost has straight edges, though the 91-92's were smoother, still too boxy for the car IMO. Thats why I personally prefer the looks of the 4th gen interior, I think it matches the 3rd gen exterior better. I agree that its possible to go overboard and have something with too many curves. I would agree that this setup here in the green car is a little overboard. I still cant believe he dished out $6K for that console. I think he got completely ripped off. Combined with the rest of the interior work and the paint, I'm guessing they took him to the cleaners. He probably spend as much on his Interior as I did on my 91 Z28 as it sits now.

probably, interior work is min $50+ an hour these days... add up to 10 hour days at 5-6 days a week if they are even working that and it adds up fast. 6k is a bit much but 1k for something like that is normal.

Personally, I like it. I think its a good idea, but yes, I also do agree it is a little too curvy for our cars. I also like how it was painted to match the exterior of the car, that is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind having that in my Z.

Another hard part is if you want all the heater controls/vents and stuff to work like the factory had it. its all mechanical in a third gen. Has anyone converted to a full push button climate control in a third gen? like a new car? Sounds like too much work for me. Form follows function i guess.......

you can get the full assembly around here for $400 but it doesn't fit well at all with the body of the car in my taste so i dropped the dash idea. i'm just working with the stock one and doing subtle things to incorporate it. either way it's nice to see something different.

I dont know if I care for it or not. I've been trying to come up with an idea for a new dash/center console for my IROC and some of the stuff from that dash would work, but others not. I think the color is the first thing throwing me off. i like how it flows from the dash down into the center console. That is the part i've been having the most trouble coming up with, how to flow from a flat dash down into the console. Id like to do my car with a solid piece of formed aluminum flowing from under a new reformed dashpad down all the way into the rear of the car. I dont know if id want the sides rounded out to flow down like that car or to have something more squared off like the stock console. Id love to see what Troy from Rad Rides could come up with for our cars. I think it would be a really neat design. Ah well, neat concept, but the execution needs a little revision.
