New Rims - Fikse FM5's take a look
New Rims - Fikse FM5's take a look
just want to see what people think. I love 'em, and if I ever get the money I will definately get them. can you tell a difference between the two? I tried to make the first one 17's and the second one 18's.
Oh yeah, and I hope RSpeed doesnt mind me using his car for this. Its basically mine without the SS Hood, but I've been considering getting it.

I've often thought that if I buy new wheels (which I'm not), then those would be the ones.....Kinesis makes wheels similar to those as well.
I'd go with the 17"s.
Very cool!!! ...and they look great on black too.

Those wheels in black look AMAZING. I'm not a fan of black wheels either. I'd go with 17's though, the 18's are:
1. Going to cost an arm and a leg, and possibly your left nut
2. Tires for the 18's are gonna cost your right nut
3. They might just look too big on the car

Actually it may be closer to $4K...
havent really checked, probably dont want to know. BTS88IROC, sure I'll try it in a little while.
BTS88IROC - here you go man, the Chomes looked pretty nice, but I think the black looks even better.
I couldn't quite get the rear rim to look right, looks a little too flat, but you get the idea. by the way, is that your car? It looks badass with those rims on it. Someone forked over alot of cash.

Keep in mind that its photoshopped, so I may have gotten the "18's" a little bit too big, they look like they might be closer to 19's. They still look good, but then what you said would definitely be the case.

oh my goodness.....f*cking beautiful..... if i could choose any wheel to be my favorite, it would be those fikse's painted just like that.... i lust for those wheels, but they are so damn expensive.....
to answer your question, i think that 18's in front are a little big.... but the design of the fikse's may make it fit right in... i say if you have the money, go with 18's and make sure you have good lowering springs so that your wheelgap is nice and small. be careful with your width, though...i'm sure those suckers will rub like a mother if the fronts are too wide...
one last thing, since i love the blacked-out, deep dish style, and i dont have the money for those fikse's, i was wondering how some firehawk wheels would look with the spokes painted a gunmetal.... in the same style as those fikse's. any and all opinions would be appreciated, sorry for going off topic

I was quoted at around $3200 for a set of 17x9 and 17x11s in the rear. That is without tires! I do not even want to know what the 18s cost. If you think about it though, they could be the last wheel you would ever have to buy, and at that damn price, i can see why! lol They are light enough to use at the track as well. Don't know how great they would be though. I believe Simmons is cheaper than Fiske if you really want that look and don't care about the name!

 :hail: WOAH!! Those wheels just ROCK! If you could ever get the $ching$ to get those...or somehow find some used ones... then go for it.
If those other wheels are available, the simmons, then go for those.

Don't mind at all. I like the way that looks. I've been wanting to try different wheels on my car anyway

The fikse's look better IMO.
This is the Simmons that I found that look like the fiske wheel.

Yes, i did say how much i was quoted. That was last fall so the price should be very close to that now. Never did get a quote from Simmons but i do know they are cheaper, not much, but cheaper. You have to email them with the sizes you want and the car they would be going on,also the colors too. You can discuss the offsets with them depending on what size width you would want to go with. I know if i were to get an 11" wide wheel, i would want it to look like it was factory and not sticking out like a damn matchbox car! Especially for the prices these guys charge. good luck

The FM/5 is a beautiful wheel. I am still trying to decide between those and HRE's 545s. Last I checked, LPE had good prices on the Fikse wheels; between $3000~3300 depending on the size. I'm not sure if they carry the correct offset for our cars. I bet there's is mostly for fourth gen and vette applications.
