I am making the shirts, and I need to know which cars came with the painted air dam and which cars came with a black air dam. I suspect the Firebird & T/A get black, and the GTA got a body-color air dam.

My red 91 T/A is identical to the first one one pictured.
...all 91/92 Air Dams (Firebird/Formula/TA/GTA) are black colored plastic pieces, but....
...in most cases the 91/92 TA and GTA got a body colored plastic- "plate" fastened on the Air Dam, holded by some screws (the original factory TA and GTA Air Dam with colored piece has got 5 holes for it)...
...so, have a look under your car...
...sorry about that "dirty" pic...

my formula. you know you like the custom wax spring holding the airdam it keeps it facing foward to direct airflow to the radiator.

WHAT was the purpose of the two slots, or was it something that was going to be put into production and pontiac droped an idea. Looking at those pix, I see no real purpose, I thought the T/A was subposed to have vents for the brakes, and I thought that was the point of the slits...

I got a closer look under my car and it does have that extra piece fastened to it, but it isn't painted. It wouldn't show up well on a dark green car anyway.

My 92 has a black air dam, well it did till the snow bank knocked it off, I shoudl proley replace that huh?

ITs body color on my GTA as well (burg) always wondered why they did that lol not like u can see it realistically
