Transmission: 700r4 w/corvette servo
Axle/Gears: no idea
fuel pump relay
where is the fuel pump relay located in the engine bay of an 86 camaro 305 tpi?
i need to jump it to get my fuel pump running to see if i can build up enough pressure to start my car, i just dont know where the relay is

Apply 12v+ to the "G" terminal of the ALDL (bottom row, farthest terminal on the left side). That is the fuel pump test terminal. It sends a 12v+ directly to the pump, bypassing the relay and whatnot.
Try that before messing around with any wiring under the hood.

im going to do that, change my oil, and my plugs and hopefully i can get my car started, if i cant, then i have serious other problems

I need to do this to check out my fuel pump to see if its bad or maybe I have some power issues....How do I send 12v's to the terminal?

Stick a 12v source into the "G" terminal in the above picture. I used a fuse tap off a known source on the fuse box.

you mean just run a wire from a 12v source on the fuse panel to the G terminal? I dont want to screw anything up...

OK!!!!...I ran a wire from the fuse box to the G terminal and the car cranked right up!.......SO that means my fuel pump is not bad!....what could it be? I need to get this fixed...this is my daily driver....

well....I tried the wire again and now it wont crank....is there a way to short the fuel pump from doing this?
