P/N for the 1LE Alum Dr Shaft is 10085375. I would try e-bay first
and they go for $100/150 avg. New from GMpartsdirect is about $249. Got mine off e-bay for $115.

I got an LS1 alum D/S for $70 SHIPPED from a guy on C28.com. There are deals out there...

I'd check with Dal at VanDevere Olds, I think ChevyGuy1969 got his from him, and it was around $250 new from GM. There's a few on ebay now going for much less.

I currently have a couple of the so-called 1LE shafts for sale along with a set of 1LE sway bars. Should you be interested, please check the classifieds. By the way, chefdan, the 1LE shaft will not fit your 85 without a change of rear U-joints. Try CarQuest part #3-3130.

I had to go with a different U-joint for the rear of my '91 RS also. It ended up being the same one as the front. I got a Brute Force HD joint from Auto Zone, solid non-greasable type.
