What kind of mufflers? I just got my single chambers today and am doing the same thing. Where did you get this done?

Does having the exhaust like that cause any problems with crap on the car/wheels? Ive heard that before but im not too sure. Looks good though. Is it a lot louder than what you had before??

only had it on the car for about a day now so havent really put many miles on it before..and yeah its alot louder than my previous exhaust..what i had before was shorty headers. 2.5" Y pipe into a single 3" pipe..back to a V-Force muffler. 2.5" tail pipes with 3.5" tips..

...I have never gotten stuck in the snow since I made that exhaust system
i've had problems with side exit exhaust and wheel damage....on my 97 f 150, they put a single side exit exhaust righe before the right rear wheel, like the lightnings, but its just a single pipe on the regualar 97 F150's, they switched to rear exit exhaust in 98....ford recalled it because it eats up all the wheels....i didn't find this out till about a few months ago, and they cancelled the recall already, but what they were doing is replacing the whole entire exhaust, and all 4 rims for free....sucks i missed out on that one...now i got 4 rims with all the coating all flaked off and eaten away....so yes, side exit exhaust definately has long term effects...one reason why i'll never put it on my car...

what do you mean? the exhaust comes out and and faces straight out the side....it isn't pointed towards the wheel at all...its just when the truck is going, the exhaust is dragged accross the rim/tire....and it just must have some affect on the coating of the rim...

I miss my side pipes but my ground clearnace was next to nothing....... maybe it's because of the super 40 series flowmasters under the car lol
