SLP CAI and relocating battery

After doing some extensive searching on the topic, I've decided to consider getting the SLP Cold Air kit. Everybody says that unless you're quite modded, it's unecessary to get the dual intake kit. Would this be considered modded enough to go through the trouble of relocating the battery to the trunk to get the dual?

305 TPI
Free mods, Hooker headers and cat-back, high-flow cat, ZZ4 cam and unknown (as of now) heads, tuned runners...small possibility of a supercharger in the distant future.

For those of you that did relocate the battery, how difficult is it and how does one go about doing it?

Thanks in advance.

If you go supercharged, then the SLP will not be used.
I went with the SLP since it was really nice and looked stock.

Moving the battery to the back was easy.
I put the battery in a marine battery box inside the spare tire well and ran the cable through the car and out where the computer wires come into the car and connected the cable to the stock battery cable with this large coupler that my friend gave me. The coupler is used to tie large ground wires together so I just put a lot of electrical tape around it.

Thanks a lot for the reply, told me everything I needed to know.

Well yeah, I knew it wouldn't be used with a supercharger, I just meant was it worth it if I may get rid of it eventually...

You're welcome.
I am using the stock fuse box from the LT1 to hook up my battery cable this time instead of that coupler. This will make it easy to jump start the car if I need to. The way I had it before, there was no easy place to put the jumper cables.

Oh, and don't forget to have a nice big ground wire going from the motor to the chassis. I forgot about that and when I'd crank over the motor, all the amps were going through this tiny ground strap that was on the motor and was melting one of my vacuum hoses.

I didn't have to relocate the battery to the trunk afterall. You can make room for it and the carbon canister on the battery side of the car. You just have to move alot of wires out of the way to make that happen.

You have the single inlet SLP CAI. The Dual CAI requires battery relocation. If you notice, both battery trays hold an airbox.
