In Coming TO america with eddie murphy , the girls old boyfriend (daryll) drives a red trans am. Its pretty nice from what you could see.

 

theres also a red iroc convertible in the movie "IT' by steven king, it was brand new at the release of the movie

I have actually come to the conclusion that there is a 3rd-gen camaro/firebird in almost every movie. Excepting the sci-fi/out of time period movies..

I havent been proved wrong yet... There is always one somewhere, wether in the background, or being driven by a main character... there is almost always one there!

 

I just saw that MTV made on tv movie Jailbait, the guy owns a 3rd Gen Camaro and his ex GF blows it up, then later he gets back with her. Wrongs wrong with that guy.

 

How about the cars in the movie the fast & the furious? That is where I got a few ideas for my car.

I just watched today a part in a movie where some rich guy had a Z28, black/gold (brand new for that movie) and he stole this guys girl, and the guy he stole the girl from beat the shiznit out of that car!! he dropkicked the drivers side mirror off, then jumped up on the hood, started jumping up and down on it, and then got on the roof and dented that in to where he dam near fell through!!! I almost cryed!! It was terrible! I was terrified!! I'm gonna have nightmares FOR WEEKS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! THE HORROR!! THE HORROR!!!!

 

There is also a Z28 in Stephen King's "The Stand" in the first half driven by one of the main characters... maybe Stephen King has a thing for 3rdgens?

The Steven Segal movie the other night was kinda... lame, but he threw some guy thru the hatch of a mid 80's Z28...

 

how about Smokie and the Bandit 3 , with the black and gold trans am. also i think in ferris bulers day off i think when they were entering chiago behind the mustang or boss or what ever ford product it was there was a black or drak green 3rdgen there also i think im no too sure.

 

The movie Heat, Kilmer drives a white 4th gen v6 Camaro, but Deniro drives a teal 4th gen Z28, both near the end.
That movie on MTV, Diary of a Hate Crime, the main character drives a red IROC, not good publicity on that one.

 

No Iroc, I am not joking. They had some nice COLORS in the movie , I totaly liked that movie, the fast cars ,the cute guys, mainly the fast cars. Their is just something about fast cars that turns me on, kinda the way my Harley does. Every one is intitled to their own opion and it seems you guys have plenty, that is what i like about this site............................

 

i was diggin' the orange one in super troopers. i felt bad for the camaro tho havin to put up with that fat @$$. lol funny movie to. my dad was a cop for 18 yrs and him and his buddies used to pull that shiznit all the time especially drivin 150mph to the local white hen hahaha

 

I noticed I think it was a sport coupe in The Crow. Also there's that movie with Patrick Swayze, he's a truck driver, his buddy drives a black Monte SS and the guy chasing them is driving a 3rdgen.

cant remember which movie but there was a camaro that was an "extra"in a chase seen that got wrecked like 4 times in one scene. Talk about using your assets up!

 

one movie you wont see any 3rd gens in is that "superstar" (i think thats the name of it) movie starring the black haired chick from Sat. Night Live.........every single car in that movie was a VW beetle (old and new)

Anyone watching Sci-Fi Channel on Sunday night watching "Exposure" in one of the shorts, there was these two guys driving a late 80's Camaro Z28 which was featured through the whole short.

 

You can't forget one of the first movies out with a third gen...Splash. John Candy drove a red and black Trans Am in that onel.

 

in the movie "kingpin", the scene where woody harrelson and the fine @$$ chic are fighting over he amish guy, outside the hotel, he slams her on what appears to be an 83 or 84 firebird S/E.

Not admitting that i watch this show or anything, but the older kid on 7th heaven drives a 3rd gen..always has the t-tops off too.

 

You might notice that almost every car in Heat was a new (at the time of release) Chevy. I'm guessing that a Hollywood Chevrolet dealer loaned the cars for the movie.

In Rock Star, during the fight scene in the parking lot of concert, there is a nice looking '82-'84 Z28.

OK, I know a few obvious ones not listed. The blue Camaro in shaft. Red Formula in Gone in Sixty Seconds. The Big hit also has a Formula. I think it was called grumpier old men, but a corvette and a thirdgen camaro go ripping by the two old guys. The begining of Hackers the guys washing his T/A or GTA out front. I'm sure there's tons more...

Yeah theres a red Formula in Gone in Sixty seconds in the first scene and also when they are gonna crush it with the dude inside. After watching a couple times though, they actually crush a sport coupe instead with the 15 inch wheels and the non wrap around spoiler like the Formula had. Thank goodness they didn't trash that Formula, I was worried for a minute

 

In the movie money train, Jennifer Lopez drives a 3rd gen Camaro.
