take a look around that guy's site. i'm not much for the whole "kitt" look, but that guy has built a SERIOUS car. i know this board and a lot of this site is concerned more with show than go, but this guy makes up for it big time.

Man, that is bringing back old school. I like it from the side, but thats about it. The single strip is cool. You have to admit that the fit and finish of that body kit is incredible.

There are a few Tojans out there...it was a company that converted them that way. Supposedly they're rare. Off the top of my head I can't remember what else they had different besides the body kit, but I know they sold for more thant just a regular Trans Am. As for that KITT looking car it is a serious car, its been featured at the knight registries site for a few years now.

Even if you don't like the KITT car, you can tip your hat to the work he has done to it. Alot of custom work.
Heh...the almighty tojan. Not much to talk about.
Pontiac handed a few over to a dealership in the 80's, don't remember the name off hand, who performed this "conversion".
You can tell the model by the color. All are Trans Ams. Some are carbs, some are tpi 305's, and some are 350's. Some where made in the convertable version.
The most common is the red one, followed by the white, and the rarest is the black version, which had the tpi 350 in it.
Over the 4 years or so they where made, the numbers of "production" only add up to one or two thousand, and thus are desired by collectors.
I think the firebird and the camaro are one of the few cars that have had more special editions than can be counted on two hands.
Except Honda's, but that doesn't count, because it's always something with an R in it anyway.
That's about all I know about it, but do a web search, like google or something, and you'll find better info.

There were only actually `300 tojans made. The black also came in the 305 tpi. Althogh mine originaly had a dark metallic gray strip around the bottom. The company was knudsen auto.

Now that I think of it I remember seeing an ad that had the trojan but it did not have the huge wing or the wheel wells that stick out in the back but the same front end and sides. If I can find the ad I wil post it.

I love the way that paint and body work came out. Plus the wheels really set that car off!
Makes me think about repainting mine and doing the KITT front end!
I see some fourth gen in that car. :sillylol: Yeah, I was just going off of what I remembered, it's been a while since I've seen a Tojan. The black ones are the best looking imo, but I'm partial to black cars.
That back end is just too huge though, compared to the front.
