why start a new useless thread? i still say use your existing box in the well for the new 15's.
i dont think you should do it if you drive the car a lot . Thats gonn be a big blind spot. I mean thats a pretty serious setup . Remember every 100 lbs of weight it is a .1 os a second. I mean that setup probably weights what 200-300 lbs with amps and subs and all the mdf. I mean if you do it it would be a seriously loud system . I wouldnt do it , but im not you and if you like it do it .

Personally, I've wanted to do something like this, but I dont have the time nor the resources. I say go for it; just dont let it get too bland. It would suck if you had all teh nice space and nothing with which to fill it. From the looks of it it looks good to me.
But, its you car... do whatever floats your boat.

definitely go for it...be different. you'll never have the fastest car anyway. the slower your car is maybe you wont try to go as fast so you'll get less tickets, go through less gas, and break less parts
We will not tell you NOT to do the wall if you agree to have a mulle-l- and pork chop side burns and say dang alot

If your still able to remove this beast and carpet it and make the interior look nice it could have potential. But if you were gonna do that you prolly would have done it up and fiberglassed it...Let us know how it goes...

that said, i think that if your gunna do a wall you should at least have some reason to do it. i.e. more than two 15s. i mean come on you could fit like 8 12s in that amount of space

its not always about that though....ive done a wall with 1 10 and needed the space...it just depends how much airspace you need.
thirdgens arent too convenient for airspace while making a wall so he'll be able to get a decently large box in there with a moderately sized port.

I would say if you want it go for it. I think it would look pretty good once it's all done. If you still got the 2.8 L like in your info, then the car isn't a big performance anyways.
Course you could always just put on a 50 hp nitrous kit and gain all that back again :-)

does it have to be a wall? could you take out the seats and build a box that replaces the seats and goes at a diagnal from the floor behind the fronts to the top of the gas tank hump? Then you would still have your rear window. You would prolly have to glass it to fit the contours but....i think it would be sweet, and you could pick up some pretty good airspace. Just a thought. I am sure this has been done somewhere along the line.

not to dis you or anything but I agree I think this attempt looks kinda quickly thought up. You should put some thought into this and build something that will take some time and effort. You could prolly make a wrap around box that goes from the hatch to the back seats that might actually look decent and give you the airspace you need. Theres a firebird on this site that has like 1 15 2 12s and 2 10s or something. Its from Australia or something. Granted the subs are sony but still...You should check it out if you can find it.

Insted of making a wall why not put some 10's along the left and right side along the armrests and in the middle put 2 15's so then you will have your back window and a trick back seat.

atomic does make a 24 inch woofer...so does resonant engineering now.
the square kickers (L5s, L7s, soloX) dont work nearly as well in a sealed box

I wonder what the legality is of having the back window completely blocked off. here in MN the only vehicles that can have the rear window blocked off is pickups. ohhh personally I wouldn't do it, looks like somthing a &icer would do

yeah too bad, those 24 inchers would just be cool to have for show! I'm shure they'd be enevitably loud , I woudnt expect the loudest but probably super low frequencies too, porbably dont play over 40 or 50 hz or recomended.

btw in most places you're allowed to have the back window blocked as long as you have a driver and passenger mirror working.

In Texas you can block your rear view as long as you have both side mirrors... and if he gets a rearview lcd screen, and a nice camera that he can integrate somewhere in the rear area of the car... then I say go for it-- but wouldnt' the wall normally come all the way up the rear of the front seats??

Go for the wall man. I have a wall and I think it is well worth it. I've had the car for over 2 years and haven't backed into anybody yet. I have 3 10" Kicker solobarics pushing 147 dbs with port directly behind my head. What a rush! I'll try to get some pictures this week sometime.
