show your neon colours!
Ok I searched and only found a couple images. I am going to purchase a set of neons to install under my third gen (ya i know, flame me now) but I am undecided of colour. My car is black so really I can go with any colour.. but I'd like to see some images of different colours installed on third gens so I can make an informed decision.
Thanks in advance!

go with green! But seriously, get something different and go with LED, they cost about the same, and you can get 7 different colors with leds and they do fun patterns and stuff. Oh, and go with Streetglow!

Here's an old pic of my blue stuff

and make sure you check out the led kit before you buy if you chose to go that way. the light distribution is inconsistant and i find the effect to be a lot less attractive than traditional neon tubes.

right on, keep the images comming!!
84customZ28 & kandiedz - can you post some other images?? I'm seriously considering going with white but I'd like to see a few more images... my fear is I don't want it to look like I've got light bulbs under my car (because it is white like flourusents?) My car is black with grey/black striping so the white will go good.. I like the blue neons but I have nothing to match the colour..

ive got the 7 color LEDs and it looks better than all of the neon and other LED kits ive seen. And where i live i see lots of cars w the **** eveywhere and i believe mine is the best of all. IMO I like sporting the purple which nobody around here has. But the LED kit includes white so u cant go wrong with the underglow color on ur car since it has 7 to choose instead of buying neon and sticking w 1 color

The few LED kits that ive seen have been pretty bright. I have pink neon on my cavalier and its really bright, but i wanted to go with something different for the camaro, cuz the paint changes color and i couldnt decide on one color to go with, i hope im not let down with LEDs, but im gonna give them a try.
I'd also like to see some pics of LED kits.

Here are mine...
neons!
They are all beat up and crap now... cracked tubes and all. This was the best they ever looked. Hard to jack up the car with them donre right though! They end up needing to be at almost every jacking point to get a nice even glow! I might redo them in LED... if someone ever makes a really nice kit that lights well. Figure they might last longer!
Just daily driving is rough on them!

I happen to like the look of neons on a third gen as long as they are tucked up nice and you cant see the bulb. It can make an already nice car stand out even more, especially if the color of the neons sets off the car.

sorry i was on vacation. I tried to take pics w a disposable camera and they didnt develop. Im gonna get a digital camera soon and take some pics then show u guys. I've got a kit by Elektra. 7 colors and the kit is really bright and looks just like neon but with more color choices. Plus it has built in transformers. All the wires were ran thru the frame so it looks neat and clean and very hard to find any wires. Also the sticks r up underneath so u can't see them from above like most peoples sloppy jobs.

I'm not much on neons. I will probabley never put them on anything I drive, but I must say I really like Redraifs. I think its the color that does it for me.

I've got a red set of LED's I like them alot more since the neons are more fragile than the LED kits. They are really bright I'm not sure how they look on the car as they're mounted on my project car that has nothing in it. So I'll see if i can get a spare battery and light them up for ya to show you how the LED's disperse. Also I see companies are using the clouded LED's to distribute the light better. They look just like a neon in the pictures I've seen.
the led kits do not shine nearly as bright as true neon, neon kits are only fragile if you don't take care of them. they are pretty durable and particularly the streetglow gold series holds up well to vibration which is good.

i dont have any pictures of my under car kit but i went with blue. another cool feature for not to much money i installed neon tubes hidden in the car you can only see the one on the bottom of the dash. but they are on a switch, but the main prupose anytime the doors open or close or the alarm is activated they are on gives a cool vide. the overhead light kills that so right now im perfecting my plexiglass cutting and cutting a bowtie with mirrior tint in place and placing this in my ttop head liner with blue neons behind it to replace the over head light. real easy too just take your curtiousy lights cut the orange and white wires hook up transformers up the fuse and you are on the road just a ceahp thought., oops sorry for the long post

definatly say neone not led IMO put neons on my gf solara and you can hardly see them on top of that because you can change the colors an in person view of the neons outside and the dark they are not as full looking nor as bright i have neons on the camaro and leds on the solara huge difference GO WITH NEONS just my 2 cents

84customZ28 and Kandied91z - please post some pics! I definatly like the idea of white. my car is black with grey pin striping, badges, and decals.. I don't want to have to choose a neon colour and then stick to it throughout the car. I'd like to see more pics before I make an informed decision.
Everyone else post more pics, reguardless of colour. Please and Thank you!

Those white lights look really great under Kandied's car!
I plan on going blue under my bird (it's black) when I finish up the rest of the work it needs. Streetglow seems to be the popular choice?

I personally like the look of blue or white on a black car or white car. They look really good when done properly.

If done right, I think they'll look good. That means also getting 4 1 ft. neons to go on the sides of the front and rear bumpers, that will give it a complete uniform look. With a black car, go with white or the color of your interior.

Sorry guys, I'm really not feeling the neon lights under the car thing
Camaros are supposed to be muscle cars and neons just don't go with muscle cars
But that's just my opinion I guess.
