What about a open discussion board?

How about an open discussion board? There are always people posting things that are off topic and they get lokced. There is nowhere else to put them, so that is why they are off topic. Might be a good place to get to know some of the other guys and everything. Just a suggestion.....

Take my word for it 91. Not only doesn't it work, there won't be 1 again guaranteed.

thats not fair to the people who would enjoy that area of the board. why dont you just kick the people off that are immature. this is the best information board that i have found for the third gen firebird. the only thing its lackin is the "lounge"

i have an s-10 so im always hangin out at
www.s-series.org

i dont know what you consider immature. but whenever someone posts a dumb or offensive topic the mods just remove it. i went to slp customer app day last sat, and i would like to share my experience with the other people on this board and im sure others would too. i think this board would be a hell of alot better if we had one, just my .2 cents.

Man, that really sucks. I like hanging out over at coloradok5.com on the open discussion forums and on the s-10 Extremists Open Board. Sucks that people can't keep things clean over here.

I think if you're gonna beg the operators of thirdgen for a lounge board they're just gonna tell you to go to www.nethirdgen.org

Yeah, do that if you want. Because there won't be 1 here. This site is not gonna be shut down again because of a useless BS board on an all Tech site. It doesn't work, there aren't morons running this site. There are already other Third Gen boards for Non-Tech.

Well if there is going to be no lounge I think we should be able to do certain off-topic posts on the general engine board. I mean the area general chat boards do fine with no problems. I don't want to got to other sites because sometimes I want to tell about something to the people in these forums. Just my 2 cents.

Then send PM's. You can talk about technical car stuff and general engine aspects on the Tech/General Engine board, also known as the Tech Board to some of us. Those other sites came about because of the shut down of this site when it happened. You don't know what it was like to even decide on putting up the Street Racing and Regional boards. Be happy with what we have. No Non-Tech for ThirdGen.org, and its better that way.

I still don't agree it's better that way. We could even have a bunch of moderators for it to make sure that no idots mess things up for the rest of us. Hell, I'd moderate it if they decided to put one up.

I think if we dont get the new board that if someone else opens up a new message board on their own and maybe get with Dirk and get a link for it so we can just BS and what not. It can even have a disclaimer sayin thirdgen.org is not responsible and bla bla. and maybe then everyone is happy.

That's pretty much what www.nethirdgen.org is. Try it out. It's a fun place. And not just for the NE.
