Heres Prowler Orange:

That is 86FyrBirds awesome car. Do a search on him, you'll find all you could want. His car is amazing looking, except he needs some 17" rims. :hail:

Didn't 86Fyrbird say that paint job cost him something like $5K? That's certainly no Maaco job... Wouldn't want to get a ding in a parking lot with that beauty! Be careful!

Paint costs soooo much. I find it really really hard to justify paying more than $500 for a paintjob when I think about all the go fast goodies that can be bought.
$5K is outragous, I'd paint my car like this,

And get a Supercharger installed.

Amen to primer! Flat black like (some of) Zepher's car doesn't look bad either... at least for the time being. I say mix the two! Black primer was always a street racer favorite! Anyone ever seen Two Lane Blacktop?

yeah I do get that reaction alot, but Im not complaining. I'd post some more pics for you, but I have been getting ripped on for posting pics by some people so I guess you'll have to specifically ask me, or do a search.

In my town here there is an iroc completely stock and brand new looking in Burnt orange, I wanna get together with him and take some pics of our cars, his looks exactly like the one about just with out a cowl hood.

86frybrds car is a prime example of what you can do with 20K The car is downright beautiful inside and out. however being that i drive my car back and forth from school and work everyday, a 5K paint job just wasn't in the cards. So i did mine myself. Did it come out as good? NO. Did it come out a lot better than you would expect a 17 year old with a paint gun and no previous experience to? YEAH. And finally did it cost about 500 bucks? YEAH.

Just my .02 on the subject. BTW, i love his car too

Eric

Da Paint

z28-Camaro-84 and 86FyrBird: your cars a awesome...I am going to check into prices this weekend I am hoping to spend like 2000 or so because I plan on driving the car and I don't wanna worry about rock chips and stuff, my car is an 89 formula 350 bright red rite now. But I want 17" ws6's and burnt orange paint with tinted windows and lowered about an inch or so not much but to make it look better.
