I'm calling all of the Mid-Atlantic F-bods out!

You heard me right, I'll run ANY of you guys in the Mid-Atlantic region brave enough to come out and race me in front of everyone at the Musclecar Powerfest on July 14th. Any takers?

http://www.virginiamotorsportspk.com...-powerfest.pdf

Don't come out there thinking a 12 second run is going to beat me either :nono:

There are quite a few f-bod's running better than you on this site Nic. How many are in the mid atlantic region I don't know but I do know there are quite a few 10 and 11 second rides. Even some better. I hope someone puts the smack down on ya. You do have a fast ride but not the fastest that's for sure. Either way i'm sure it will be a fun time. I'd go if I lived closer and had a car that I wasn't sick of looking at.

I might be there, but not to race. I turn 21 that day, not sure if I plan to get wasted Sat. or Sun. though. I'm thinking Sat., but I won't be racing my car, it's too slow.

Put your car in the show saturday then. RPM (local F-body club) will be judging the GM show. We'll be judging the Ford show.

C'mon...everyone's got a buddy that'll beat me, someone step up and run this little stock displacement street car

Gahhhh ive seen this so many times with Mustang owners...

First time I drove my car home from the dealer this guy at a light talking to his girl friend .. and what did he say "g*d I wish I had my stang right about now"..

ive seen this situation... my neighbour with his Mustang vs my brothers friends Camaro (at the time)..
so they found the time to get a nice race.. and the Camaro ownnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnned the Stang..
sorry dude ive seen it happen over and over and over agian.

My car is far from show condition. No judged classes for me. I'm thinking of entering the non judged class up in Carlisle.

Still no challenge? Come on, someone's got to be up to it. The 4th gen guys are challenging our club to a heads up shootout. I know there's a particular member driving a bottle fed camaro up in the DC Metro area, where you at? I got something for you.

I'll be there. You have to give me a 2 second head start, though. I only have an L03 .

You could run faster than my car.

He hasn't got the engine done yet, but they are both running the same times (12.7). He should have a few more mods by then, but I doubt we will go cause its 2 hours 40 minutes away from us. Anyway it would be a good race.

I'm sure to show up.. Racing is a different story unless someone wants to give me several grand, then i'll be a sure win

I'm pretty sure Mighty Mouse [not sure of his real name] will give you a good run for your money with that crazy engine he's buying.

Is your challange limited to F-bodies or any type of car? I have a '93 300ZX TT that does low 11s, passes emissions and still has stock turbos w/many other mods, of course.
My '90 Formula w/new motor should run mid/high 12s but I purposely kept c/r down to 9.6:1 for future blower use. But that's redundant, since it will not be equiped w/the SC until next year. It should do 10s by then(so I plan)
Anyhow, are you really looking to get HUMILIATED or are you just happy that your car is quick?
No disrespect intended.
Mike.

it's only 100hp with if you run their stickers too, just the filter alone is only worth 50. LOL

sorry to dissapoint the mustang crowd, but 12's are hardly impressive anymore. with teh 4th gens runnign so close off teh showroom floor it takes low 12's to have a "quick street car" at most tracks. anybody who needs proof can just come to e-town and watch. mild 3rd gens and very mild 4th gens all running in the 12's regularly.

later

Sure, there's plenty of F-bodies around that would whoop my ***, but if taking on all comers is what it takes to get you guys out there, then by all means, I'll run any of you. Won't be the first time I've been beat and won't be the last. The whole point of this challenge isn't to stand up and say "hey I'm faster than all of you"...it's to get you guys out there, so come on out and whoever wants to take a shot at me can do so.

I'm pretty sure Mighty Mouse [not sure of his real name] will give you a good run for your money with that crazy engine he's buying.
I've got nothing for David and sure as hell won't when he gets that 383 in there.

I hope your not refering to me NIC.
Yes, I'm referring to you. I dunno what mods you're doing in the next few weeks, but we seem to be right on pace with eachother so I think it would be a hell of a race and one I'd like to see happen.

Is your challange limited to F-bodies or any type of car?
Unfortunately, this is a Ford/GM/Mopar only race...no imports this time around. They are allowed in the club challenge however.

Directions from I-95...

Follow I-95 down past Richmond into Petersburg. Get off on I-85 headed south and follow that until you get to exit 63A. Take exit 63A and stay on route 1 until you see the track set back off the road on the right. It's easy to find.
