repair manual

Hey guys
Relativly new to the board and I am curious if anyone knows where to get a real repair manual for a 92 camaro RS. I have seen some of the haynes and chiltons manuals and they are all 82 to 92 and are not very detail oriented. Of course they cover the vehicle well but not completely. Ex. My haynes 82to92 doent mention anything of a tempature gauge sensor on the drivers side of the vehicle in the head. I'm really looking for something more along the lines of a GM manual or the thick hard back that chiltons had or use to have. looked everywhere and could'nt find one online. if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ran038

Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for. Spent a fair amount of time using search engines today to no avail.
Thanks again, ran038

Go with the Helms (factory) manual for sure. I put off buying one for a long time because of the price, but it's worth it.all other manuals pale in comparison. The illustrations alone are worth the money.

helm (http://www.helminc.com) publishes the factory manuals. but helm is unlikely to have any shop manuals in stock for thirdgens because thirdgens are old cars.

both the places listed below specialize in selling the original helm factory shop manuals for older cars:

Faxon Auto Literature 800-458-2734 http://www.stores.ebay.com/faxonautoliterature

http://www.lloydsautolit.com
LLOYD'S AUTOMOBILE LITERATURE
P.O.Box 491
Newbury, Ohio (USA) 44065
Telephone: 440-338-1527
Fax: 440-338-2222
E Mail: lloydslit@aol.com

might also try ebay, but you may have to wait a while for your year and model to appear in an auction. thirdgen firebirds and camaros each have their own unique shop manual.

note: none of the sources listed above is free, you'll have to pay for the information. but shop manual is well worth the money even if it only helps you fix one or two problems. gm dealer shop rate is above $75/hour in many locations.

I ordered the factory manual from Helms 6 months ago for my 92, so they are still available from them.
