new tranny slipping or what?
I just put in a new 700r4 and 2200 stall convertor after my motor swap and one thing is still bugging me about it. I'm still on the stock 2.73 gears but when I'm doing about 60 or so and mash the gas, the motor revs up to about 4000-4500 the grabs the gear hard. I wouldn't think it would be a slipping problem that goes along with a bad tranny cause it grabs hard after it revs up without getting out of the gas. I even got a little chirp out of it last night on a cold surface doing about 70mph. I am running an aftermarket trans cooler in series with my stocker but I have noticed that when I park it and feel the return line, it doesn't feel that cool, it's border line warm-hot. So I'm not sure which is causing which? Either the slipping is probably causing the hot trans or the hot trans is causing the slipping maybe? And the TV is adjusted properly. Are there any possiblities that I should explore before I call the guy who built it get a new one? Any help would be great. Thanks.
