434ci SBC TPI Stroker

This is what I have so far for my 434 SBC Stroker Project based on this block which I already have:

'74 400ci SBC, 2-Bolt, 2-Freeze Plug, High Nickel Block
Bore/Stroke 4.155 X 4.000 (433.9ci)
Splayed Caps

Now looking through old posts on the subject, these some of the exact parts that I'm going to need:

1) Eagle H-Beam 6.0 w/L.19 Bolts (+.300 Long) Rods
2) Eagle 4340 4.000 Crankshaft
3) Comp Cams XR282HR Camshaft (CARB Legal)
4) Clevite H Series Bearings
5) Trickflow 23* 72cc CNC-Profiled Chamber Heads PN# TFS-30400013-CNC (CARB Legal)
6) JE 400 SB Brodix-12 PN# 194945 Forged Pistons
7) JE Molly Rings PN# J100081455-5

I plan on running a ProCharger D-1SC so the modded TPI will be able to give the engine a fair amount of airflow, keep in mind this is a street car. I will have an extensively modded TPI system that will include such things as very well worked SLP runners, a 58mm throttle body, a siamiessed TPI intake base (most likely aftermarket based), etc.

Now, exactly what Pistons and comp. ratio should I go with? I have access to 100 octane pump gas and I'd like to optmize my boost/comp. ratio for not the most power but the most efficient power persay, I don't want to push the engine TOO hard. Also, do you guys agree on the type of heads I plan on using? What about the camshaft? How about injectors? I'd like to get it down to EXACTLY what parts including part #'s and $$ so I can do a Desktop Dyno file that is 100% accurate as far as the parts being used.

Since this is a 2-freeze plug 400 SBC "Cheater Block", I want to try my best to keep the engine CA smog legal. I know what you guys are going to say about that but I figure if I smog it naturally aspirated and tuned just right with CARB headers etc. I have a chance.

Thanks!

Yeah, they are stronger than just plain cast iron.

Now that I am doing more and more reseach, I think maybe it's best not to go with the 4 inch stroke so it will last longer since I want it to be a street car (not a daily driver of course). So I think it's better to just go with a 406.8ci stroker...

Actually, you can buy the complete rotating assembly direct from Eagle. I will input the Trick Flow R series 2.08/1.60.

As far as compression, it will be hard to find less than 9:1 with 434 pistons. The cam in question with a Vortech V2-S with a 2:1 belt ratio pumps put 651 HP @ 5500, & 682 TQ @ 4500. That has to do with the cam.

If I only change the cam to Comp Solid Roller Blower grind-12-704-8 that has more duration and .575 I & E, the numbers make a significant change.

747 HP @ 6000
739 TQ @ 5500

A bigger cam moves more air and takes advantage of the good flow numbers of the Trick Flow Race heads. 55 lb. per hr injectors will support 850 HP.
