I hope lots of people reply to this one...I too have no interest in giving up the only useful storage in my camaro with a big sub box.... would be awesome to find a place to stuff a single 10" or 12" for some decent sound....

you could place it on the shelf and mount your amp under the seat.... that's what me and my friend did in his Camaro...

Or you could always take out the back seat

That could be interesting... I'm thinking of it... I don't really drive any more than 1 other person around...

I dont need the hatch space anyways but for you guys who want it.. First off take off the side panel on the left, and take out the spare tire on the right.. build 2 custom boxes for each side, and put 1 sub in the side panels.. you wont be able to see the subs too.. on the left side u have to take out the box for the storage compartment though.. u should be able to fit 1 12" on each side

I measured it out and 1 12 on each side is a tight fit especially on the drivers side, becasue the two compartments aren't the same size. I'd go for two 10's or even two 8's if you don't want a ton of sound and just some good low end.

i had a coustom box made for my firebird that will fit 3 12" memphis Audio HP's in the back where you would put the T-tops if you had them. and i'm telling you it looks bad ***. i have a pic of the box but the pic was to big to upload to the board is if anyone would like to see you can e-mail me for a pic. Also Q-logic makes coustom boes for 2 10" or 2 12" they will fit where the t-top bag goes and they look like the box was made with the car. they are sweet looking the only bad side to them are that the sub fire to the front of the car. but they do also have a tilt to them so they fire kind to the front top of the car. if you see the box i'm talking about you will understand. Also R/T makes a box for the back of F-body's i took a R/T box and mad some mods to it to get my 3 12"s in it. but if anyone wants to see my box e-mail me MGS8509@attbi.com

REZN8R, that is a pretty sweet setup. Does it just take up the part above the gas tank, or does it extend into the trunk space?

Thanks! The box was just above the gas tank. The amp rack had to come out and extend into the well. I ended up selling that system so I could reconfigure and work on something in fiberglass. I'm still in the process of building the fiberglass well box.

89blackgta,

Doesn't the sub hit the carpet right in front of the sub?

87350IROC,

I was in there pretty snug and then i let my wife drive it. now I have a grill on it so that it doesnt crap out. I have to keep this crap setup until she gets a tahoe or a yukon, then I can take up all the space I want. I hope to have two type R 12's in it when she lets me

all AAA can do is change your tire for you or tow it home.. if your already down 2 free tows, you only have 1 left.. Also, 3 words.. FIX A FLAT .. in the can

FIX A FLAT is baddddddd. Buddy works at Sears Auto and showed me the inside of a rim after fix a flat was used. It left all kinds of stuff on it.

it gets really hard and will actually make little cracks in the rim. They are small but still not a good thing.

I am a tire tech at american car care, Fix a flat is just fine to use, BUT it must be removed from the tire within 48hrs or it starts to build up on the rim, and starts to eat into the inside of the tire, often making it impossible to patch. Fix a Flat is meant to get you to a station where the tire can be fixed, its not to be put into the tire and just run the tire till it really pops!
