Finally found the right combo...hopefully

Alright, please let me know what you think about this. It has taken me all summer to find P#s and prices from different competators, but I have done it.
Here it goes.

*327 Chevy SB -$200
*Assembled Vortec Heads -$250ea.
Pace advertises .480" lift , but Scoggins-Dicky sells the same
heads for $220ea. with only .440" lift.....what is up with this?
*Self-Aligning Rocker Arms -$60
*Vortec Performer intake -$158
*Comp Cams SBC hydraulic flat tappet cam Specs: -$100
Adv. Dur. 256/268
Lift: .447/.454
LSA: 110
RPM Range: 1000-5200
*Bored out/modded TBI, maybe 350 injectors-$who knows
*3" exhaust w/ cat delete +headers and custom Y pipe-$???
*Home-made TBI/Carb adaptor plate -$???
*Complete rebuild of 327 -$???

Seeing the look on my face when I start it up and go from a 170hp 305 to a 350hp 327.....well, lets just say I will probably wet my pants.
So in other words, it will be priceless for you.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Hopfully I am not forgetting anything.

If you want to even come close to 300 horsepower you are going to need a better manifold and more cam .

hey you may be able to save money and gain power by buying a regular manifold used...on GMs website, it says you can drill and tap new holes in regular manifolds to fit vortec heads.

The 327 will make about the same HP as a 350, just less torque. That said the setup you listed would make about 310 hp, unless your high compression were maybe you'd get 330hp, Anyway I love my vortec heads, get em' ported too, screw people who say the're good enough stock. But as far as intake go with the edelbrock air-gap performer rpm vortec, I have this one and I love it, It stays cool, so now for the first time ever I don't lose power when my engine gets hot. I you wanna make power though (350hp) your gonna have to go way bigger cam, I would put something like a 292 with 510 lift, now thats sounds big but you drive a car (its lite) . My 270/280 comp gets my truck up and moving right from the line to the topend.

P.S. Just get the heads valve bossed cut down at a head shop, so you can take huge lift.

It would be to bad if you made nice 327 and just put in a peanut cam like you listed.
