Dyno Day

Just a reminder that the deadline to confirm for Dyno Day is coming up on the 7th. After that, it will be open for any of your friends to join in, for those of you that wanted to bring them. So far there is 7 confirmed. They are...

It's on the 14th, the members on the board have until the 7th to confirm that they want in, and then it will be open to friends. Right now there is 7 confirmed and I am hoping for 9-10.

I'm curious as to what a tune-up was worth to my car, coil, rotor, wires, plugs... been a good 4 years with the old set....

I'm hoping to get headers on it with cutout prior to cat... then I can get a good idea of what that cat was worth in stealing hp...

If not, I'll hopefully get that by race day... depends on many factors in these coming weeks.

Check out my original post for details. The Majority of us are just doing this to see what, if any, gains we achieved with our current mods.I think we all had our time on the dyno to tinker with a few things, eg...timing, chips, fuel pressure...etc. Some will take longer than others. I personally want to try adjusting my carb abit, other than that I should be done in 20 minutes. Going on the dyno really takes out the guessing. You do it this time, and when we do it again next year, the shop will have all the info from your last run, so you can compare the results.

Sounds like you have your work cutout for ya...I would love to see what gains we acheived on Dyno Day. We were pretty close as far as HP. With your headers and my carb, intake and K&N's, it would be interesting to see who got the most for their money.

The link for your original post doesn't work anymore. Where/when is it? I'm a newcomer here...wasn't around for the original post. Sorry.

The Dyno day is on the 14th at Forrest & Forrest Racing on Shoemaker, in Kitchener. The cost is $375 for 4 hours. The more people we have the cheaper it will be. I think it was $46 each with 8 cars, the last time.
The dyno is scheduled for 12:30pm-4:30pm. If anyone is interested, we can head out afterwards for drinks or cruise or whatever. Let me know ASAP if you can.

OMG...why do I always have to work when things like this are going on?!?! Ya know, I could sneak out on my lunch hour...Yes, yes...that might just work! It's from 1-2:15pm that day. What are the chances I could get my car through during that window?? I'd love to come out for this. I might even be able to get back to work at 2:30 if I told my boss it was racing-related. He's pretty kewl that way.

(fingers crossed that this isn't an unreasonable amount of optimism)

Hey Tracey, no problem, we can arrange that when you arrive, we will get you in next. It only takes about 20 minutes and you will get to meet a bunch of the guys. How far away do you work from Shoemaker in the Huron business park?

Very kewl! I work likely about 10-15 minutes away. I'll hop on the 401 and get off at Homer Watson. I'll take a drive by there today so I know exactly where i'm going. I appreciate your willingness to accomodate me and my car!!

Ok Tracey, I have put you on the list as confirmed for the 14th. I will keep an eye on the clock and have the dyno ready for you at about 1:20pm...give or take 5-10 minutes.
Everyone else, we have eight confirmed, so if you have a friend that wants to join in, I will accept 2 more cars. That will bring our costs down to about $40 each.If there is only 8 of us the costs will be about $46.
How to get there, you might ask. Go to Mapquest and look up Kitchener. The address is 55 Shoemaker St.Here is the link...

OK, I'm guessing I have one more person who will probably say yes and a possible second...I'll get ahold of them and get back to you asap. Thanks again!

My fiance would like to bring his 4th Gen Camaro to make an even ten for the Dyno if that's okay.

Hey Tracey, I got your message. No problem.
Dave, sorry about the misunderstanding. I have removed your name from the list. Hope you can come out to meet everyone.
That still leaves one more opening to whoever wants in.

5 more days to dyno... gotta tune my car just right to make the best of what I got to see if I managed to squeeze anything out since running with James... Scared him with how almost identical setups with only diff TPI vs TBI ran 2 tenths apart...

Headers and cut out aren't looking good till drag day, and that's without taking into consideration the ones I want aren't gonna be available to me by then either... time to dig deep into the sources now...
