NOV. 2nd
ok.. the time is getting down, and it would be nice to be able to get an idea of who all is coming or most likely coming. as it seems to be an large intrest in this. so it would help if we knew how many to plan for, and the length of stay you plan on visiting the great white north, so the sooner we get the reply the sooner I can let the further people know whats happening as requested

I'll be there ifn I've got someone to go with ... Julie is thinking about going...
will find out for sure in the next couple of days...
Summer, think maybe Jules and I could meet you at the mall and head up to meet Jess and the others at the gas station by jess's house or something just so no one is tagging along behind the group on the way up to canadia to get lost or somethin?

Aaron, as long as you guys are at Jess's exit at the specified time, you shouldn't be left behind or get lost.
F-Boy - I don't mind caravaning back south, but I have to be home by sunset. Sounds like an old childhood rule but if I break down somewhere along the way, my husband wants to be able to come rescue me before I become a pregnant, over-reactive mess in the darkness of night. So I'll probably leave before most.

for some reason whenever I go to canadia it ends up being damn near the middle of the night...

Well, I still plan on joining the event, although at what times I'm unsure... My g/f works friday night, so if anythings going on then, I'm there for sure. Other than that, on Sat I can show up for a while, but my girl isn't interested in cars in the least, and doesn't want to go. So Sat night is out for me unfortunatly. But Sat morning, and part of the day, I'm game. I really just want to meet some of you guys (and gals) more than anything else.

I'll try my damndest to make the trip in but unfortunatly I'll have to be home by 8

If no meeting place has been decided we could always choose the Collosuss (or however you spell it) silvercity in Langley. Just north of the 200th street exit off Trans Canada (#1 Hwy). They have a huge and empty parking lot there, so it would be easy to find, and easy to find eachother. Just a suggestion. I think we should go to Stanley park downtown, and take a cruise through, if not stop there and hang out for a bit. If we decided to park in Stanley park, we can always walk down the beach to (Cambie) I think, or whatever street is right along the water. They have all sorts of stuff to check out in the area. Especially around down town. Aside from a sorta picnic idea, and hang around, what else is on the plan?? Unfortunatly I don't know of any car related things going on, and mission raceway is done for the year. Any other ideas aside from Stanley park. Usually there is tons to do, but I live here... so don't try the tourist thing, hehe. I know of some other places I usually go, but they cost (although it would prob be cheap in US $)

sorry been busy with work, but here is the lastest for the gathering on november 2
Jay, the Stanley park idea was already in the works, Jesse is leading people from the states up to the Peach Arch boarder at 11am, which is when everyone is going to be meeting. at the information parking lot coming into canada, but still accessible for us cdns. then we will be heading into Vancouver and going to stanley park, which as you mentioned, we could go to the beach if its nice... who know maybe check out Gas town or something depending on how many vistors we have
once that is done and over with, we are heading to City Park in Langley, since they have a covered area if the weather doesn't hold , and it should be free for us. As for food which aaron has talked to me about, I thinking maybe everyone bring there own food, there sounds to be a supply a bunch of hot dogs and chips, some pop, so please and bring stuff some stuff to help out.
As for what happens after the picnic is up to you, Rich and I are up to hanging out with anyone what whats to, though there have been a few replies stating that they would only be at teh gathering for a couple of hrs, though we could always hangout afterwords, so it all depends on everyone elses plans.
well hope to see ya all there and Drive safe in the mean time
BTW: as luck would have it, the orginal organizers of this event (Don and myself) both have to work saturday, so I will not be at the border or stanley park, though I will be at the picnic) so look for a black primered 82 camaro with a white hood(Rich)
and for those that have not seen the car you can't miss it here is a pic, just with a white hood now
