Thanks I don't realy care for the look of the Jamex. Too simple. Thanks for the heads up on the Edelbrock though.
Unless someone can tell of one that fits, I'm leaning toward getting one custom made by...... probably a roll cage builder. Seems like it doesn't need to be incredably strong. It's reinforcing sheet metal FGS.

Or perhaps I notice from your pics that you have an aftermarket hood. Maybe that could be your difficultly.

It has nothing to do with the installer...it hit the stock hood as well, and a friend with a GTA had the same problem. Maybe they changed the design, who knows, but regardless the Edelbrock strut tower brace that I have does not fit the car. Its not like you could install it wrong and get the crossbar and the two rear pieces to line up.
I someone installed the 3-point support rod from the firewall onto the top side of the crossbar and the bolts upsidedown you could certainly have a problem.
I've purchased mine about 3 years ago.

It doesn't hit in the rear...the brackets are too tall, and even with the front bar dropped the bolt heads occasionally hit the hood. Got any pics of your install? I'd love to see if there are any differences in the bar, or if possibly Edelbrock sent the wrong mounts.

Another hillbilly picture compliments of AFrikinGoodTime. I'm waiting for digital cameras to be perfected and the price comes down. 10 years ago I purchased a top of the line Sony Hi8 camcorder for $1800.00. Today you can buy a better unit for $300.00. I refuse to make that mistake again.
i have heard that BMR makes a bar that fits....BUT, needs a small shim underneath the bar on each strut tower to clear the TB. but they come in a variety of colors. here's a pic from someone's car that i had saved when i had intended to do it. but i never have, so just take that as a warning. but this person had it work.
I apologize, i don't know who's car this is
