As a matter of fact, I just finished my 1995 V6 dash swap. The LT1 and the V6 are the same, so you should be fine. Im gonna post all my connections soon.

Nick (or anyone else that has done this)
I know U did this along time ago, but if U remember any of it please help me out. Iv'e never done any kind of wiring before.

Right now Im trying to match up the wiring. Ive got a 3rdgen shop manual but can't match up some of the wires on the guages.

What I quoted above are the wires from the 4thgen guage that I can't figure out what to do with.

SO what did you do with these wires?????????

#1) A1 and A5(4thgen) is power feed for the guages. I have 5 wires on my 3rdgen harness (pnk/blk) that say power feed for guages. Did you just hook two of the 3rdgen wires up and leave the the other 3 unhooked?

#2) A13 on 4thgen "Power feed from PWR ACCY Fuse 7" Did U use this wire? I can't seem to find a match on my 3rdgen harness?

#3) A14 on 4thgen "Generator output indicator control" Same thing, can't find a matching wire on the 3rdgen harness. What did U do with it?

#4) B1 "Odometer illumination" can't find a 3rdgen wire to match it?

#5) B2 "IP illumination lamps feed" I have 3 thirdgen wires that match this function, did you just connect all three together or use one and leave the other two unused?

#6) B3 circuit 650 "gound"
#7) B15 circuit 451 "Ground"
what did you do with these two grounds, cause they are differnt circuits on the 4thgen harness. But I have two grounds on my thirdgen harness but they are the same circuit. So do the circuits matter? Or can I connect either ground on the 4thgen side to either ground on the 3rdgen side?

The wires I have left over on the 3rdgen harness to play with are,
lt blue- Choke
5x pink/blk- battery voltage from guage fuse, hot in run
2x black- Ground
3x gray - cluster illum, variable voltage with lights on

the gray illumination wire is usally hooked to dash lights, so when you turn your light switch ****, they will go dimmer and brighter accordinly

I have 3 of these gray wires on the 3rdgen harness. The 4thgen cluster calls for 1 IP illumination wire and 1 Odometer illumination wire. So would I just hook a gray wire to each and tape the 3rd gray (from the 3rdgen harness)wire off to the side and not use it? Again, I don't know much about wireing. just trying to make sure I do it right so I don't end up ruining anything. ThanX
