Max idle in Pk/Nut ANHT
I'm tuning a 730SD ECM.
In the ANHT hack file is the line below:
L8657: FCB 12 ; 187.5 RPM/(RPM/SEC), Drive max RPM rate
When I modify the FCB hex number 12 to a much higher number I can set my idle higher than 800rpm. This allows my engine to run considerably better at idle, especially when warming up in cold weather.
For now, I just set that byte higher and then edit the Idle vs/Temp settings to my desired idle. It works fine.
What I can't figure out is how to scale the parameters in Tunercat's definition editor so I can add it to my .TDF file. The hex number 12 somehow relates to 800RPM I suppose because that's as high as it will idle without modifying that byte.
Any help would be appreciated!
SBC 383 w/TFS 23° aluminum heads, full roller, 11:1 SRP's.
CC306 camshaft w/1.6 RR
730SD w/30# injectors, 58mm BBK, Holley Stealth Ram
700r4, 3.73 gears w/BFG drag radials
Thanks

Never mind. . . I can now add RPM's to my idle RPM even though I don't have a park/neutral switch, or I can set it higher when in drive.
The hex 12 doesn't relate to 800RPM at all, it relates to INTERGAL GAINS which I assume means get added to the RPM calculated in the DERIVATIVE GAINS, plus temp. added RPM's, etc.
