Some pictures of my New FORMULA!!
Hey guys! Just got a 1989 Formula 5.0 from Florida that I bought off eBay. It is in really nice condition. It has 95k on it. Runs like brand new. Is not modified except for $700 Classic Industries GFX Kit. Also has brand new A/C compressor with the new CFC free Freon ($650). Inside is super clean and never been smoked in. Only thing this car really needs is new door pins and the aero wing is warped but not cracked. Let me know what you think!!

Looks like you got a pretty clean and straight car. It's always nice to find one that hasn't been f*ucked with cause that usually means an older driver that didn't run it that hard. Good job.
Not too bad at all. Only thing I could do without is the GFX and money-losin blue paint, but thats not that bad. I guess it would be more fitting of a female to drive a light blue F-bod

nice car man....nice to see another formula lover out there. Im not really a fan of the ground effects either on a formula.....but still is a real nice car. Like the blue too. Keep it clean.

Thanks for all the replies guys! Yes I believe Formula's should be without ground effects as well, and I myself would have never put these on. However they actually look alot better in real life than they do in these pictures. Oh ya the high bid on eBay was $2200.

Looks really good. That is one clean interior too. I don't like that particular style of ground effects. I only like the side skirts. I think you paid too much. Razzi offers something similar that looks better in the front for $500.
The Maui Blue in direct light looks like it has a light green tone to it, yuk. It still looks nice though.

You got the car for a great price. My thoughts are that the reason it was so cheap is that light blue paint. It would have gotten better money if it were black, red, grey, or darkker blue. Its not just that car, any car thats light blue has less curb appeal than a bright red one. Thats why I said "money losin blue" thats what we call light blue cars that run thru the local auctions.. They're hard to sell...you gotta find the right person. Women tend to like light blue more than men.
You got yourself a cool car for a great price. Congrats!

Looks like someone cared about it. The blue isn't my favorite, but probably wouldn't have kept me from buying it either. The GFX aren't bad until you get to the nose. I think a lot of people just aren't used to that look on a Formula.
A couple of reasons I bought my RS were that, first it was nearly as clean as your car, and no one under the age of 30 had owned it. Like yours, I don't think it's had a hard life.

83firebirdS/E - I saw that same car on Ebay and I was taken by how clean it was! I'm glad it found a good home with someone who loves ThirdGens. Way to go!

I like the GFX but I do think it would look alot better on a darker color. Good buy, The interior looked like mine did 5 years ago when I bought the car. I had the car since I was 17, but my car unfortantly has 183k on it now, but still runs strong just showing its age on things like carpet etc. But My interior will be all brand new when I get a day I can put it in. Its stacked up in the corner of my room.

I like it. Only thing I don't like is the color of the interior. I hate the light grey theme.
Also, do all the Formulas have the light grey dash? I bought mine a month ago and that was the first car I noticed having a grey dash. My 86 Trans Am had the light grey interior, but the dash was black.

No not all formulas had a light grey dash. My formula has drk med grey carpet, black dash with the gauge area being the only dark grey area on the dash. Seats were the same color though, but now are 4th gen leather seats.
