Nitrous or Stall

This car is going to be my daily driver until mid August. So basically I have 6 months left to play with it before it gets put up. I am thinking for my last mod getting a 3000 stall speed converter or a Edelbrock nitrous kit (the 50, 75, 100 shot kit, number 70001). My setup is in my sig. What do ya think, both mods are about the same amount of money (minus refills)? I don't go to the track that much (2 hrs away), but I am planning on going a few times this summer. and i would like some more fun on the street.

Stall it then spray. Or do like me, stall it, gear it, cam it, and spray it all at the same time. Man I love the GI bill. Any guesses on my new 1/4 times?

Sorry I should have read your sig. Then stall is your next best bang for your buck. I second the "Why the Edelbrock kit?" go with NX, TNT, or NOS.

Stall.

You'll get to use the nitrous..... how many times during the course of the summer?

The stall is there every time you step on the gas, and requires no refills.

I'm thinking the stall. It would really suck if the first time you get to "spray" you blow your daily driver, especially since your motor has alot of mod's on it! Besides what do you want to spray for? You can do it at the track. yes But how often can you do it on the street? How often can you really get on it on the street? So i think that my vote will have to go with the stall. But then that raises another question. Why 350 bux for a stall. O but your probably running one of those 700 R somethings right? Why don't you just get a different tranny?
Just my $ .02

yes i am running a 700r4, and yes $350 is the lowest price i could find for a 700r4 3000 stall speed converter (comes with a 5 yr warrenty). i know there are some people out there that just hate nitrous, they call it cheap (duh thats why it kicks ***), crappy, and cheating. of course these people are going to recommend the stall (not saying that if you replied stall you are one of these people). nitrous=blown engine is not really true, if you do your research and use your head (some people have problems with that) then you should be all right. after all cylinder pressure is cylinder pressure. i would not be able to spray on the street very much (but i could see myself spraying once or twice a week). at the track and the dyno is where it would really help me mostly.

c'mon now! do i really need to answer that? there are many many reasons. one of the biggest is 100 extra HP (dont forget about the massive torque gains) for under $400 and a short simple install.

and lets face it most of us, including Sduster over here, want to go fast(er).

but wont the converter really only help me at sub 3000 RPMs? which means basically first gear only?

Personally, I'd go for the higher RPM stall converter WITH lockup. Then again, I'm more of a purist. To me, nitrous if like taking Viagra or getting breast implants - it might be fun for a while, but it's all an illusion....
