Just got one question
Is the like the Quicktime peformance cut-outs. Is this a pipe with one leading out and one to the catback. I'm askin this cuz my bro just got his today, but its cheap. All it is, is a piece of metal with a vavle that opens and closes. Anyways, are they like the Quick Time Performance ones?? An what sizes are these gonna be??
Heres the pic of the other cut-outs im talkin about.

this is a plate you put over an existing cut out... you buy the cutout of your choice and mount it(mccord power plate) to the cut out... i dont know anything about the quicktime but the mccord is a very good unit from what i hear, thats why im buying it

Yeah, its pretty much the same this as the QTEC, but this has a longer warrenty. You have to buy the cutout separately (thunderracing.com has Flowtech ones for $35, WAY cheaper than Summit and Jegs) but it also fits the Summit cutout. When you order, you can pick the size, depending on your exhaust. You can also get either the standard switch or upgrade for extra money.

they dont have the money.
i just popped off a email to join
Thats funny how so many people who said they wanted one aren't here now.
Anyways, I didn't ever consider a cutout until now but I have some questions first.
#1, is it legal to have a cutout (closed of course) on your car in california? I know this sounds like a stupid question but you never know.
#2, when the cutout is closed, doesn't that make things worse compared to not having a cutout at all due to the turbulence? Basically some of the air is going to get trapped in the closed part and push back.
#3, does it sound like crap when the cutout is open?
#4, don't you end up getting a lot of exhaust in your car since it's not being channeled away?
#5, how much of an improvement is this compared to having a flowmaster with no cat already to begin with?
thanks in advance for any responses!

If you live in California you might have to take it off for smog. As for the sound, I have a Borla and when I take out the spacer and leave it wide open it sounds loud but good. I plan to install this where the spacer goes and then modify the pipe so they both are still even out the back. Just makes it alot easyer then getting under the car every time I want to change the spacer.

Ok
for those who are wanting to order 2, place an order for 2 singles.
if you order 1 set of duals, it only counts as 1 order, but if you place 2 orders for singles, then it counts as 2 orders and get us more orders=lower price.
this was from keith himself.
thanks

I'm a little confused as to what comes with it. Do we get a switch? It doesn't come with the actual cutout, correct? How do we indicate what size we want?

It comes with the switch(standard), but you can upgrade the switch.
No, it doesn't come with the actual cutout. get one from jegs or summit for $40.
Indicate what size you want in the email you send when you click to sign up.
Thanks to whomever made this a sticky!
Only 10 or so more slots left! get in while you can!

I was just looking at the pricing page and it says $200 for 3 inch dual setup. The group order says list price starts at $208.75. Did they jack up the price for the group order, or am I just missing something? If I'm understanding this correctly, there are 12 already being ordered, and you're just now getting the normal price of $200 for duals.

How much would they be at the lower level if I order 2? I'm thinking about putting a cut-out and a power plate right after the header collector on both sides. Would it still sound as mean as open long tubes?

Got an email
Hey Guys,
I got an email from the McCord powerplate to start to order. I am on the list to order but the prices it gives me for the power plate are not the same on the page with the list of our names, WTF??
On the page with our names it says it should be 190 for 2 but on the page they sent me it is 200 plus shipping and handling. http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/order.htm
Can anyone let me know what is happening??
thanks

When you order online, put in the code he gives you in the special instructions. Then he'll adjust the price.

I mailed them about the charge. I also got a single 3 inch plate and it said they were going to bill my credit card like 115 bucks.
Here's what Keith sent me back:
"If you read the email below, you'll see that it won't. We ring it up at the right price when your unit ships. Your card isn't charged until that point."
So I guess we don't get discount till it ships.
