Yeah that Bird was Forsale by some guy in Louisanna for a Super Cheap price. I was actually thinking about getting it, but decided it wouldnt be a good idea (with a loan and such).

That bird is launching like that with Street Radials, just imagine a pair of slicks.... Damn I should have looked into buying that car.

Anyways, nice Rides.

The IROC is for sale on ebay at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6161 - the reserve is set at $8500 so I want to get at *least* that. Think about this: $3500 for ZZ4, $1500 tranny, $2500 paint, and $2500 procharger - and that doesn't even include the great conditioned car itself and other various upgrades.

The firebird is actually on drag radials there! All I can say about the specs is that it is a 383, has 3200 vigilante stall and 3.73 gears

I just drove 7 hours with a wife and 6 month old son to Louisiana to pick it up. It needs paint, but I am in love with it.

So yeah guys ... I need to get rid of the IROC, even though I don't want to It's a sweet car and super fun to drive. Email me if you want to know more about it before bidding!

awesome pic, I always wanted to get a window sticker that said stroked and blown, lol. Course I'd never do it for real though even if it were true.

yeah ... that seems a little too risque for me as well. I just wanted to do it for a bit before the ol' roc sold. Gosh I'm gonna miss her. Also, I guess it'd be cooler if I were talking about just one car being stroked 'n' blown instead of one being stroked and one being blown. Oh well!

Understood...

You answered my questions right there, thanks much. Nice even launch on the ride btw. Great sleeper look (stock envelope).

Wait, one more q: Are you running a 9 bolt rear end? Not sure if I am going to leave the S10-derived rear in my '90.

Peace,

K

Are you running the stock rear on that iroc with 500hp.. besides the3.73 gears..? Man I would call and find out about a loan from my bank for your iroc but I see it's on e-bay and im leaving for Idaho for business at 2:30 tonight and won't be back for a week.. Im in TX aswell.. Let me know if it doesn't sell I'll have to come take a look at it...

DreamState, actually, you may want to keep that in mind when you get back - so far it is only up to $6200 and it has been on ebay for a few days now. I don't know a whole lot about how ebay works so maybe it picks up just before the time expires, but if it keeps going as it is, you may be able to check it out when you get back. I woudln't mind having a look at your firebird either!

It is a 10 bolt, but has held up very nicely. Most likely because i havent run a high stall and slicks.

10 Bolt? Wow...very cool.

I guess I will prep my 10 bolt and let rip, as I am keeping the car as a daily once it is redone. Thanks for the details.

Peace,

K

Sure. ... you say that because you look at the pictures...

but if you were to come over and look at them, you would say something else, like "holy cow that IROC looks better!" The reason I say this is because the firebird is in DIRE need of paint. The top is fading, etc....the interior is incredible. Even though I would rate the IROC's interior a 9 - 9.5, I would def. give the firebird's a 10. I think the firebird may need to grow some ground effects soon too.

so basically, you rather have the
bird because it needs work.

I admit.. after a while you just
want to start over..

Try something new..

Heh, no - here are the reasons ...

I got the bird for a really good price

It is faster

It has air conditioning.

When I first got the IROC, I wasn't married and didn't have a 6 month old son. I didn't really mind it before, but even though we have a 'family' car, it is always good to have the backup car with ac too.

I would have bought that bird in a tenth of a second if I had the money. As soon as I say the ad for it I was like holy sh*t I gotta get that for that much money. Just glad its kept on the boards.

Good luck with the bird!

If those are just street tires/radials that is one HELL of a launch, geez with slicks that'd be a hell of a launch! Serious traction on that one (not to mention some serious 'sack' to need it)!

Unfortunately, right now, if I get slicks on it, I will have a broken rear end. I can't wait to strengthen it and put slicks on it

Due to a disgruntled wife, the buyer of the IROC had to drop out after he won the auction, so the car is still for sale.

I've been in that Bird before. Talk about a stealthy car! My friend Mike used to own it who sold it to the guy you bought it from. I think Mike regrets selling it!
