group purchase SFC's

hey, how about we try to get a group of people together and try to make a group purchase of some sub-frame connectors?

from what i have read i think i am most interested in spohn's.....
we caon look else where too see waht deals we can find...

i would be more than happy to organise this but im in colege going into finals week right now, so if if its up to me to organise then it will be a week and a half at least... probably until my first summer paycheck...

but i wanted to get this started to see if there is interest....
thanks alot,
tj

If there turns out to be one, Id buy in. Check Jegs and Summit, I think they also sell their own brand of SFCs. As long as they work, Im happy.

spohn price for SFC isnt that bad now, just order them plain steel and save time from griding PC at the weld spots, and money from not having them powder coated.

I would be interested in organizing it. Just let me know who is interested and what kind or company you guys want to use and I'll make the calls or whatever. I work during the day but my job is kinda boring. Plus my boss doesn't care what I do.

Let me know.

Including myself, I now have 4 people interested in this group purchase. I will give it a little more time and if i don't get at least 2 or 3 more, then i just don't think it will be worth it. I will wait probably till the weekend and if no one else joins in then I will call and see what they say. Is this ok with everyone?

I just lied to you. Including myself, I know have 8 people. I missed a couple of people. If I can get 2 more people to join in, then I will call tomorrow, or whenever i get an even 10. I will email the people that I have listed to make sure you still want in on this.

I will have to check my list when I get home. I'm at work now and I don't have it with me. When would this need to happen in order for you to have the other people?

Ok guys,
I emailed Steve yesterday and asked him about the group purchase and this is what he said:
"Mike,

I appreciate you guys wanting to do a GP with us, but right now is
our busiest time of year. We've been working 7 days a week to keep caught up, a GP right now just isn't possible. Hope you understand.
Thanks.

Steve"

So I emailed him back this morning and asked him if it would be possible at a later date this year, like maybe in a couple of months. I will be awaiting his reply for that. I hope some if not all of you guys can wait it out.

I just got another email from Steve and he said the he's not sure, it depends on how his business is doing later on. Obviously. So I told him that I would try again towards the end of the summer when things slow down a little bit. I hope you guys can wait, I have a feeling it would be a good deal.

If it's later into this summer then I'm definately interested. You can add me to your list, and let's hope they'll let us do this and save some cash too.

Thanks,
Scott

Well for the moment, it is just SFC's, but when I call him again, I will ask if we can maybe work something out for other parts too.

I'd be interested in Spohn's sub-frame connectors, and possibly a strut brace.

Any update on this whole affair? It's "later in the summer", does anyone know if Spohn can handle a GP now? I'm interested if Steve is able to lower his already reasonable prices

hey,
count me in too, depending on brand and price, but i have a feeling if we have this many people going in on it, we should get a good deal, otherwise it is not worth it to us and we could order them at our convenience...

I think someone asked about a Spohn GP eariler this year and got shot down. He doesn't like to do them because he gets swamped with big orders. I'd say that, in this case, bigger isn't better. We don't need a GP for 100 pieces.

what are the alstons like? they look less expensive and they are painted too! i see no info. just title. no description, no pic. just a part number price and title. also what is the difference between the two types they have.... no, no weld on vs. bolt on. there are ones that also say "performance" i believe.

is there any interferance with exhaust or anything else possibe?
thanks,
tj
